The Departed was based off the first in a trilogy from Hong Kong...would like to see Scorsese take on the other two.
I was kind of hoping for a series for John Carter. I didn't think the movie was actually that bad, but it was dubbed a failure before it even released, and I feel like Disney really screwed the pooch on that one.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with that but treat a sequel with the original cast as a different universe. Spader and Russell were great together. I'd love to see where a sequel could go with them.

Mike plays in the World Series, but loses out to Johnny Chan. Still gets a nice payout and is doing well in the cash game world, travelling around the world to play in big stakes games. He's playing in Europe and gets an unexpected visit from Kanish, who tells him that Roman and Maurice have kidnapped Worm and believe that Mike owes them for Worm's cheating. They agree to let Worm and his debt go if Mike wins a one-on-one game back in New York. If doesn't play, Worm dies. If he loses, Worm dies and Mike is on their payroll. Mike's loyalty to "family" forces him to return and help out Worm. He walks in for the game and discovers that Roman and Maurice have a ringer -- Johnny Chan -- who they have been financing and extorting for years.
Oh, and right after the World Series, Mike has a "what was I thinking" moment and flies back to NY to find Petra.
