yeah...the overall story arc is beyond tiresome but the individual bits make this show for me.

I think it's because Richard isn't likeable anymore. It's hard to root for pied piper to win when he is just another Silicon Valley ahole.

It's just so unnecessary. You have a brilliant show runner, and a hilarious cast. This should be the office with tech jokes and HBO freedoms.
But I still love mike judge. Anyone here watch the Cinemax show he does called tales from the road? I really enjoyed both seasons (crazy 70s outlaw country dudes and crazy 70s funk dudes).

So I'm really behind. I subscribed to HBO a few months ago for the first time since the Sopranos so I could binge watch Game of Thrones (great) and Chernobyl (also great). Now I'm into season 3 of Silicon Valley. I haven't laughed this much at a sitcom in years. Loving how they touch on every aspect of startup issues and culture. "Do you know what our product is, Richard?", "Me?", "God no. It's the stock."
As someone with a small startup / side-gig, I'm hoping it continues walking the fine line between realism and parody.

I really enjoyed this episode. Jared brought it as usual, yet in a different way.

I wonder how much influence Alec Berg has had on the show in the past few seasons as he has created Barry with Hader.
Some of the episodes he wrote were among the best of the series.

Overall pretty solid.
It helps to ignore the narrative, as it's been pretty dumb the last few seasons.
