I'm on the opposite side of the Sturgill scale. I still have never even heard his first two albums. I listened to Sailor's Guide a few times when the Grammy nomination hit, but didn't stick with me. Bought Sound & Fury on a whim vinyl preorder and LOVE it. Since picked up Sailor's Guide on vinyl and have dug into it too. Slowly making my way backwards though his catalog.
As for Childer's I've listened to Country Squire a couple times but hasn't grabbed me. He has a nice voice, but musically and lyrically nothing jumps out at me, other than the appeal that he's one of the only ones making that style right now.
