what does that even mean, disdain for plot? Sounds like the kind of thing you say when you arent capable of crafting a tight narrative. I still really enjoyed the show as a whole, but I found myself fast forwarding a lot when I binge watched this last season. Maybe I wouldnt have if I watched it in real time.

Janice is an all time villain. He created some very great characters and moments throughout this shows life

I think what he means is that he doesn't care as much if the main story arch is good or not so much as the character development, themes, and other less apparent arches are great.

I liked the finale. I thought the final season gave all of the main characters the development and closure they deserved except for Angela. Her death was pretty unceremonious.

Some of the strange plot lines and ambiguity didn't bother me so much. I was actually a little concerned that White Rose's machine was real and there was another world people could jump between. Basically, the same thing as Man in the High Castle.

Overall, it was a worthy final season for one of my favorite shows of all time. One of these days I will go back and watch the whole series again. It looks like there were a lot of clues about Elliott's true identity along the way that I missed or have forgotten about.

I'm finally starting season 4, and I only read the first few posts on this thread but I'm in agreement with TC about the delay between seasons in this show being a problem.

I really like this show and I'm always enthralled by it when I'm watching it... but I am just absolutely clueless to what's going on. I have no idea what or who Whiterose even is at this point. What exactly is he/she doing? I can't remember if Angela died last season or if that was the first episode of this season. I don't know what Tyrell's role or purpose is anymore. I don't remember what 5/9 really even did. Hell, I don't even know what the plot of this show is, to be honest at this point... And wasn't like time travel or something else being alluded to?

I had to rewatch the season three finale and then do a bit of reading to catch up/remember anything at all, but if you have enough context, the first half or so of season four is actually pretty good. That said, the two-part series finale is literally the worst finale I've ever seen, and I'm not exaggerating (I go into more detail on the previous page, but with spoilers). It's so bad, to the point where it basically/retroactively ruined the entire series for me. Episode 10, I think, is actually pretty good, and felt like a true/worthy ending to the series. But the three episodes after that are pure nonsense, and will only serve to piss you off even more, IMO. Proceed at your own risk.

Dexter says hi. It was a bit out of character but this is also the same show that had a 90's vintage episode complete with 90's throwback commercials.

I just finished episode 11... two eps to go

Wow never thought about it like that but that would have been a great ending before they got into the psychedelic nonsense. They never really explained the power plant or project anyways so could have just left it like that.

So I endeavored to watch Mr. Robot, and I just finished it this past weekend. I don't really know what I think about it.

There were times when I thought it was so good I'm staying up way too late because I had to watch another episode. Then there were others where I could not follow the action at all. Like have to go back and rewind 10 times to try and pick it up. I'm the kind of dude that loves overly complicated shows, too. This seemed different. Like they didn't know what they were talking about either.

I genuinely can't tell if I loved it or hated it, but I know that I enjoyed Rami Malek, Carly Chaikin, and Grace Gummer. Enjoyed about 90% of Christian Slater as well.
