So Carrie is charged with the death of the president and many others, but is able to stay at the house of a cabinet member of the current president and is allowed to come and go as she pleases even crossing state lines as she is awaiting trial?
Seems legit.
Yeah, the show pretty much made you suspend all disbelief after S2. You have to view Homeland through a lens that Carrie is allowed to pretty much do whatever she wants and there's always someone with enough sway to keep her from being shutdown but also enough convenient amnesia to forget what happens every.single.time with Carrie. She's basically Jack Bauer.
This season has been somewhat enjoyable, but really not a fan of the eleventh hour russian spy contact story. Seems kinda silly to wait until 2 episodes before a 7 season series finale to play the "flashback to Saul's past" card.
Oh and look Carrie is elaborately arranging things on the floor to put all the pieces together with her beautiful mind JUST LIKE SHE USED TO DO BACK IN THE DAY!
I really feel like the only way to give this series justice is to end it with Carrie finally getting prosecuted, finally having to answer for all the collateral damage, and getting the electric chair complete with the quivering-lip cry-face Carrie right before they throw the switch.
