...and her fake accent. She's from Katy; not Hicksville. I did enjoy how uncomfortable everyone looked while she was talking and trying to make herself come off as some kind of outsider.

I once saw the beginning of a TV show called "Bull" where the murder occurred in Katy TX so that caught my attention and I watched the show, the prosecutor in TX had a thick Kentucky accent, sounded like Forghorn Leghorn...it was great.

I don't think Awkwafina should have won, she was the least interesting character in that movie. She wasn't "bad" but she wasn't the overall "best" either.

It is a throwback to Cold Mountain, which is the last award she won for.

I'm just waiting for them to start asking for electric airplanes. You can do it for a RC plane, why not a full scale?

So was that just clever production cutting to faces looking uncomfortable during his jokes, or were they actually feeling the jabs?

I think people are a little quick to bash Hollywood at times, but you're totally right. Weinstein is a perfect example. Tons of people looked the other way until a reporter and public outcry forced them to acknowledge it.

Saw her in person the other day and she's absolutely stunning. Also seemed incredibly mature for 22 and like an all around nice person. Leo would be a fool not to date her. Also, she was born in June 1997. Titanic came out in December that year, so technically she *was* alive when it was released (though, yes, the overall point remains, with her only being only six months old when Titanic came out).

Daniel Craig's KFC accent in "Knives Out" was more authentic than whatever the hell she was doing....

Let me get this straight. Leo started dating his latest GF when she couldn't drink, smoke, or gamble....

He really is. He's an amazing actor, but that speech alone made me want to actively root against him for the Oscars.

After reading a transcript of his speech not sure what was so wrong with what he said?

You know it's funny... I really like him as an actor, and I don't think there's anyone that would argue he's not a great actor. He absolutely is... and he was phenomenal in Joker. I liked Joker, and he was great in it, but to me I just can't get behind him winning Best Actor. I think it's a couple of things...

I just don't think it was a stretch for him. I mean we've seen him play this type of character before several times (and always really well), but while the psychologically-tormented, lonely, disillusioned, male is always a choice role for films, I mean we've just seen it a million times in films.

And secondly, he's not even the greatest performance of this character. That's no knock on him, Ledger gave one of the most legendary performances ever... but it's hard for me to say he should win best Actor when he wasn't even the best Joker.... which kind of just goes back to my first point. The Joker is one of the best characters ever and provides any actor with a chance to give this type of performance. So it may just be the character itself that's great.

I completely disagree. Phoenix had a much better performance than Ledger.
