I once saw the beginning of a TV show called "Bull" where the murder occurred in Katy TX so that caught my attention and I watched the show, the prosecutor in TX had a thick Kentucky accent, sounded like Forghorn Leghorn...it was great.

I don't think Awkwafina should have won, she was the least interesting character in that movie. She wasn't "bad" but she wasn't the overall "best" either.

I think people are a little quick to bash Hollywood at times, but you're totally right. Weinstein is a perfect example. Tons of people looked the other way until a reporter and public outcry forced them to acknowledge it.

That's no knock on him, Ledger gave one of the most legendary performances ever... but it's hard for me to say he should win best Actor when he wasn't even the best Joker.... which kind of just goes back to my first point. The Joker is one of the best characters ever and provides any actor with a chance to give this type of performance. So it may just be the character itself that's great.


I completely disagree. Phoenix had a much better performance than Ledger.
