I hope they do more cameos with the Columbians from seasons 1-3. Narcos Mexico S1 ended right after Kiki was killed in 1985. Pablo wasn't killed until 1993. Should be interesting.

I hope they find some reason for Isabella to get naked.

Loved last season.

If they start running out of material i wonder if there's any chance they do a prequel going back to focusing on Escobar. The dude that plays him can still play him without age being a big issue imho.

Narcos Miami might be pretty cool...although would be focused more on mid-management and lower.

I'm sure they'll drag Mexico out another few seasons. Surely the last season will focus on El Chapo up until his arrest a few years ago, right?

Yeah but that got me thinking and I came up with idea for Narcos Miami.

It's the early 1980's. Several Cuban "refugees", who are actually criminals that Castro released from prison and put on a raft headed for South Florida, become tired and bored with their minimum wage jobs in Miami. They see the fancy cars, the hot women, the money, and want a piece of the action. They get involved with a local drug boss who sends them out to buy a small shipment of coke from some Columbians only for things to go south. One of them gets carved up with a chainsaw, another gets shot. Ultimately they shoot their way out, get the coke and the money, knock off the drug boss and take over his business.

The leader goes down to Columbia to establish the trafficking business directly with the Cartel boss, opening up a pipeline of billions of dollars of blow and everyone gets filthy rich. Yet arrogance, greed, and series of bad decisions causes the Cubans to get sideways with the Cartel boss and a bloody war erupts between the two sides.

I think that would be a pretty good premise for at least one, maybe two seasons.

Wow, love this concept. I'm not a writer like you but if I could add anything I'd make the leader also face some sorta ethical dilemma where he's asked to like blow up a car with kids in it and for one moment, he shows some good, or some ethical boundaries at least and refuses to do so.

Just caught the first episode. Nicely setting up the season.

They definitely should have shot that civilian that saw everything go down.

I'm a huge fan of narcos, but is anyone else finding this season a little boring/uneventful? Its a little slow. I'm on episode 7 and having a hard time staying interested.

I still think the first two seasons with Escobar were the best. Not a big fan of the Mexico series.

Find it pretty good covers a lot of what happened after Kiki Camarena events leading up to how things shake up and how the Mexico cartels will look

I actually thought season 3 with the Cali cartel was the best. But I agree with you, this has been slow compared to the other seasons. I'm only 4 episodes in, so maybe it will pick up.

Regardless it's still one of my favorite shows.

Just watched the 1st episode. The problem with shows like this is they have large casts, and with binge watching putting a long time between seasons it takes a while for me to remember who is who.

I agree that the season is slower, but I think it's necessary to the explanation of how Mexico has gotten to today. Felix was a genius.

Why are they so lazy as to show Matamoras as having mountains and guy and his kid fishing in a crystal clear stream? I hate lazy stuff like that

I just started watching season 1 a week ago. I knew the Kiki Camarena story.

It feels a lot like The Wire. Now I'm gonna have to go back and watch that.

Episode 6: The flashback scene with boys playing war against the French. The actual execution of the maid was completely shocking!!! I did not see that coming

Agree! I didn't understand the point of that scene. Was I supposed to deduce who the kids were?

I took it as the kids being the Salinas de Gortari brothers and how one talks for the other brother.

Binged watched it all (Mexico Season 2) last weekend. Loved it. Great series.
I too laughed at the mountains in Matamoros as well as the Gateway International Bridge scene when Guerra is first driving him around Matamoros. Yeah I know it's supposed to be 1985 but I crossed that bridge hundreds of times in 1985 and it wasn't a podunk little bridge and it damn sure wasn't out in the sticks.

Also, why the **** can't anybody on the Mexican or US side get clear reception on the TV? That's the thing that cracked me up the most. Yeah we watched big tubes back then, but if you adjusted the antennas on the back of the set, you got pretty clear reception 99% of the time.

The season started a little slow, but it sure finished strong. Felix's final conversation with Walt was a fantastic ending.
