We did but it felt like the early seasons they really poked fun at all stereotypes for all races. That was funny. It just seemed to get very SJW especially the episode right after Trump got elected and they we sooo scared. It was never the same after that.

I agree with this. It was funny early on and all were made fun of. There were multiple times Bo called Dre out for his stereotyping and when he was blaming race when it wasn't appropriate. Around season 3 or 4, that all changed and the narrative became "white people are bad and to blame for everything."

The Walking Dead (dame timing as some others).
Orange is the new Black

And a few others. That one with the chick with all the tattoos. Watched a lot of that but finally stopped watching.

I binge-watched the first two seasons of The Man in the High Castle and loved it. Then it was like a year and a half till season 3 came out. By then I had pretty much forgotten the store line and found myself having to look online for the synopsis of the previous episodes. I watched the first 3 episodes of the 3rd season and gave up. Need to just start over and binge-watch all four seasons.

Surprised no one has said Castle, Bones and Burn Notice.

All three were solid formulaic shows with fun stories until the writers introduced nine layers of conspiracies. I think Castle got amnesia at one point, Booth started gambling randomly and thrown in jail... just stupid plotlines and abandonment of what made the shows good.

I bailed on Succession after about 6 episodes for a couple reasons.

My biggest gripe is that Kendall and Roman are just so dumb. They would never be in those positions at any company regardless of who their father is. They could maybe have a Greg-type level position. But literal bumbling idiots/perverts/murderers don't get to those levels of that size of companies purely on nepotism. It would be one thing if either of those characters showed they had any ability or business sense that justified keeping them in those positions. But they're just too stupid.

I'm also getting a little tired of Adam McKay's projects. We get it dude, you hate rich people and they are evil.

All that being said, I've almost been convinced to keep watching by some friends. So I may jump back in ha.

Yeah, McKay totally made up the Kendall/Roman characters. I cant think of any examples (cough Eric Trump, cough Stephen Jones, cough James Dolan) from the real world who are such comically inept children in charge of billion dollar businesses.

Entourage. I watched it all on prime until I got to the last season and then just read the season synopsis on Wikipedia.

Not sure about the sports owners kids. But they don't seem to be bad people? I know Dolan is a huge dork, but not much else. Bad at fielding good teams? Sure. But the Cowboys and Knicks/MSG aren't exactly losing money.

Not gonna touch the Trump stuff in order to not derail the thread, but I also don't know if the Trump kids actually run any of the Trump businesses at the highest levels. They seem to be more public personas. Idk though.

And maybe that's what Succession is getting at. That you can't be complete ****ing idiots and run a company like that and after Logan it will all crumble or they will be outed as idiots and replaced.

Sons of Anarchy - I watched all the way into the first few episodes of the final season and bailed. Have no regrets about it either
Vikings - made it a few seasons past Ragnar's death but lost interest
Silicon Valley - I watched the 1st episode of the final season but haven't picked it back up since

You should have skipped the next to last season (7?) and watched the last season instead.

Currently bailing on The Blacklist. We really enjoyed it the first several seasons, but it has really been dragging recently.

These long stretches between seasons wear me out. And they drug out the story with his brother way too long.

does it count as "bailing" if you just like got distracted and never came back to finish it?
This is my issue too -- I'm not necessarily bailing because I like the show, but don't have the time or just haven't gotten back into it. I guess that is a pseudo-bail because they were not appointment TV enough that I couldn't miss. These for me are:

Better Call Saul
Fargo
Stranger Things
The Americans
Homeland

Full On Bail because I didn't want to watch any more:

Newsroom
House of Cards
TWD
Ballers

Would have full-on Bailed if horses didn't keep dying:

This is an old one, but Heros.

The time travel got too complicated and was a carte blanche for them to bail from the plot at any given time.

A great derivative of this thread would be "shows you wish you gave up on". What shows did you finish and by the end were like "****. I'm never getting that time back. What a waste."?

Loved the first two seasons...put up with the last two...it wasn't that I didn't like it, it is just that nothing happy ever seem to happen...

TWD, after Neagan was introduced I was out. My wife and I loved that show, but that storyline was too much for us and we both quit. Never given up on a show I've watched for as long as that one.

This. Was just about to write this, but I made it a bit further.
After they finally throw down with Negan's troops and win, slit Negan's throat, and then decide to save him, that's when I was done as a faithful Sunday watcher for many years.

Producers and writers just don't understand the art of setting the trajectory of a show and ending with a set and planned ending (see Breaking Bad as an example).
I could've written this post nearly word for word. When Rick didn't kill him after EVERYTHING that had been said and done for a couple of years I was just done. Haven't watched it since that finale and frankly kind of get a chuckle when I saw previews for the new shows now because I think "How in the hell is that show still going?".

FTWD I think I made maybe one season of....I think I remember some Mexican hacienda burning down and that being the end of a season. Whenever it was I just didn't care anymore. I never thought I'd have said this but I was just kind of 'zombied out'. I love that genre of horror/sci fi but it was just overkill after 10 years of TWD.

I watched the first two seasons of Friends religiously. I don't think I've seen more than 5 minutes of any episode after season 2.
