Well, there is Spartacus, of course.

Awesome in Paths of Glory. (helps that Kubrick was directing).

I think my favorite, though, is his role in In Harms Way. I know John Wayne movies are not highly panned by film experts, but Kurt's performance as Eddington, a very flawed dude, was a great role.

My favorite movie of Kirk Douglas was "The Vikings" where his character Einar was son of Ragnar.

I can't believe I just I watched it again just 3 nights ago with my extended family AGAIN for family night. One of my favorite actors of all time. RIP Kirk Douglas.

I think "Tough Guys" might be the only movie of his that I've seen. Actually remember it pretty well given I was 9 and haven't seen it since.

I also first remember him in 20,000 Leagues, which I saw in the theater when it first came out. Very good film.

He was great in Paths of Glory.
