They don't try to make a comparison between Nazis and Trump supporters. The show is typical modern Hollywood woke in that they add in a lesbian romance and lots of 1970s black power through a few characters. I am ok looking past that if it's a good well told story but one of the main characters goes on a rant in the end blaming the government and white people for creating a big mess by bringing Nazi scientists over after the War. People are entitled to be critical of that in hindsight I guess but I don't see how it was a racial issue and seemed ridiculous when she said it.
I think it's more the "there could be hidden nazis among us" angle that needs to be examined. That's what I meant by the implication. Sort of like a McCarthyesque witch hunt, but a Nazi hunt instead. Kind of concerning when the people in the show appear to be normal white people at first glance
