Paranoid Android by Radiohead. First time I heard that it straight up moved me. Was not expecting the slow, beautiful interlude or the awesome climax. Such a masterpiece.

Music video is pretty trippy too

First one that popped into my head was Impossible Germany by Wilco. The first two minutes are kind of a standard slow ramble by Jeff Tweed and the second half guitar solo slowly builds and repeats and other pieces join in. Their performance of that on ACL is probably the single video I've watched the most on YouTube. Wish I could go back and be blown away again for the first time.

I still remember the first time I listened to the Operation: Mindcrime album.

A friend had given me a copied cassette. I listened in the car one evening while my mom was in the grocery store.

Anarchy-X/Revolution Calling is my vote for "i wish I could hear that song again for the 1st time".

Video is only Revolution Calling.

F'in A!!!! This album just is pure greatness almost all the way through.

I bet hearing A Day in The Life for first time while watching Cirque's Love would be pretty cool. One of my favorite moments in that show.

I do like the chord changes just before the first verse, you already have an ominous beginning then you descend further into the darkness.

Always on my mind by Willie. First time I heard it on the radio I had just broken up a girl. Love the song, but it always reminds me of that girl. Wish I had also heard Unanswered Prayers on that drive home.

Imagine not having heard this song 5000 times. And hearing it like it was fresh.

This song. I remember watching the video on MTV with my roommates. We were all shocked, amused, and knew this was going to change a lot of things:

Cherub Rock by Smashing Pumpkins. I remember I was 10 or 11 and my brother was unwrapping a copy of Siamese Dream and I asked what it was. He just said this is really awesome. My parents weren't home so we had it on the big stereo in the living room with the volume UP. Mind. Blown. Maybe it's not that I want to hear it for the first time again, it's that I want to re-live that experience.

It's not so much the song (I'd heard it before) but the video posted a month or so ago here that I'd never seen before. I'm an old Bryan guy and miss it a lot so it hit me hard in the feels ...

Before today, I had never heard this live version. I think fans of Randy Travis will like it too.

In the spring of 1992, I went into Marooned records to buy a new CD. Didn't really matter what one, but I wanted something that kicked ass. The guy behind the counter (fellow RAB Chris Penn) talked me out of the new Ugly Kid Joe album that was making the MTV rounds and into Vulgar Display of Power by Pantera. This was the best decision I made that spring. The transition from Walk to ****ing Hostile is incredible.

Thread derail but I've got an autographed copy of Modernday Folklore by Ian Moore somewhere because I wondered into Marooned one day and he was there. Great album by the way.

Nine Inch Nails - Closer

I remember sneaking out of the hotel on a school trip in New Orleans to go to some shady record store and get the CD. The song still hits today.

Second would be Nuthin But A G Thang, which solidified my love for hip hop.

Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty

Loved it after the first time I heard it. Immediately ran to that little record store at Northgate and bought the album.

I remember listening to my dads Bridge Over Troubled Water record one day during the summer (6th or 7th grade) and hearing "The Boxer" and played it like 10 times in a row. I got pretty good at finding the spot on the record where it started.
