I fall apart by post malone

Such a great song, it changed the way I see music forever.

Pretty much single-handedly made me start listening to post 90s music. Before Listening to that song I couldn't stand the scream-o/prepubescent sounding bands, but MCR's instrumentals sounded like Queen as far as "big" sound.

I'd like to not only hear the song for the first time, but hear it in context of time it released. Like "That's All Right" by Elvis when there was nothing else like it. Also the entire Beatles catalog especially "She Loves You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and the Rubber Soul through Sgt Peppers run. Hearing "Tomorrow Never Knows" only a couple years after "Love Me Do" must have been mind blowing.

The fact that this thread hasn't been completely hijacked by grunge fanatics is a miracle.

I remember the first time I heard Bohemian Rhopsody. Had to listen to it about 100 times in a row.

This is my answer. Gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it.

I remember when I heard this version for the first time, at like 1:26 when Robert busts in, I seriously got goose bumps. This is my all time favorite version of this song

Should have made the thread about more than music. I probably have a longer list of books or video games I wish I could reread/replay with no knowledge.

Long Live the Chief, by Jidenna

I'm in no way a rap aficionado, but am a fan as most middle class white kids who came of age in the late 90s and early 00s. It came up on season one of Luke Cage, Jidenna performing it in Cottonmouth's club, and I immediately backed it up and watched it again. A great track that I still often hit "back" on when it comes up in my music to hear it again.

We Burned the City Down, by The Toadies

The first time I listened to Play.Rock.Music, it completely took my by surprise. So different than what they usually put out, great lyrics, hell of a groove to it. Still one of my favorite Toadies tunes.

Heard it for the first time as a intro to commercials during a World Series game, Immediately had to look it up.

I'll get killed for this, but Thriller has to be included. It's release was such a huge cultural moment in music history. At least the video was.

Somehow, someway, I'd love to be transported back to July of 1968, listening to my AM radio, and hearing the DJ say "now, here's the latest song from Mighty Merle Haggard."

Helluva record, with James Burton, Roy Nichols and Glen Campbell all doing their part.

Y'all are all insane if the drum solo on In the Air Tonight isn't in your top 5 on this list.

Feel like The Hangover has ruined that, and now I always suspect anyone that isn't 40+ years old only knows it from the movie.

My brother had the CD and let me listen to his discman on a family road trip. With headphones on I was blown away.

I gotta go with Skynyrd's "Free Bird." I got my first electric guitar in 10th grade, and my brother got me a Lynyrd Skynyrd greatest hits CD. I of course has heard "Sweet Home Alabama" before, and worked on learning that. As I listened to the rest of the CD, I kept skipping "Free Bird" because of the slow intro. When I finally sat down and listened through it, I really enjoyed the slide lead, but was blown away by the second half.

I still remember the first time I listened to the Operation: Mindcrime album.

A friend had given me a copied cassette. I listened in the car one evening while my mom was in the grocery store.

Anarchy-X/Revolution Calling is my vote for "i wish I could hear that song again for the 1st time".

Video is only Revolution Calling.

I would consider myself old now.

And I could make a huge list but the first song I thought of was "She" Green Day.

Probably has more to do with where I was in life, but I distinctly remember hearing "Timebomb" by Old 97's and it opened up this whole other volume of music I had never heard of.
