Seen any movies that were an absolute waste of time during the quarantine? Help save others from that fate.

Only God Forgives is mine. I watched it because I like Drive, I like Ryan Gosling, and the cinematography looked good from the Netflix image.

What an absolute waste of almost 2 hours. All style, zero substance. Was bored out of my skull for most of it. I checked my watch only 20 minutes in hoping it was almost over.

Avoid at all costs.

I second this. That movie was a snooze that tried to be really good cinematography wise, i guess. Maybe he owed a favor.

Mine is Under the Skin (Scarlet Johansen is super good looking but that alone doesn't save this). It's too damn slow and just loses all plot cohesion and track of what it wants to be towards the end.

Oh man... this movie is absolutely horrible. I fell into the same trap, convinced it would be somewhat redeeming. Nope.

There are a few really cool shots of cinematography, but yeah... otherwise complete garbage

Similar to Only God Forgives and Under the Skin (less redeeming than either of those). Watched it after Good Time and The Lighthouse wanting to see more of the roles that got Pattinson the new Batman... absolutely terrible. Do not watch.

The Fountain with Hugh Jackman. One of the worst times I have ever had a movie theater. My wife and I went with my Mom and Stepdad on Thanksgiving weekend the year it came out and the theater was so full that we had to sit up front. It was just an absolute beating to sit through that movie.

ha, my wife and i watched this the other day. i was reading about best movies on Netflix etc. High Life kept coming up. its the kind of movie certain critics love just so they can like something that most people won't.

agreed. i've actually watched The Fountain at least 3 times because it was so well regarded. i have to say that i just don't get it and am ok with that.

I wouldnt say avoid because I'm definitely not the type of end user the movie would be aimed at, but I was bored out of my mind with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Loved this movie as a 12 year old when it came out. I watched it probably 20 times as a kid .

Watched it again the other day for the first time in probably 25+ years and felt pretty cringey.

However, I do have to say, seeing it now as an adult, it is pretty heavy on the subject matter when you think about what it is addressing. Mental illness caused by childhood trauma. If the Fred character wasn't so annoying, it actually makes some deep points.

Almost anything you remember from childhood as being awesome. If you haven't seen something since the mid 90's there's a reason why. My wife and I have fallen into that a couple of times over the last couple of weeks.

Lat 30-45 mins saved it for me. Keeping with the theme, we watched The Hateful 8 and I thought that was incredibly boring.
