We were one of those families that would try and catch 1 or 2 movies a weekend, which led me to seeing a lot of movies that a child of my age had no business seeing.
Jaws 4 was one of those.
I also saw Whispers In the Dark and Juice in the theaters, and I couldn't have been older than 12.
My parents made some questionable decisions.

The first Boondocks Saints was awesome though. I get why people would want a sequel, even if it didn't end up being good.

The first Boondock Saints has some cool scenes but is probably the most overrated movie of all time.

The original was awesome. Sure, it had some plot holes but overall it was about as serious as a PG movie could get without going into PG-13 territory. A bit of humor for the grown-ups as well.
I mean, how much worse can you botch sequels?
The first 3 Ninjas sequel cast different kids as Rocky and TumTum and changed the grandfather's name. I'm still confused.
And then, there's "3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain" (3 Ninjas 3). The original cast is suddenly back. They fight Hulk Hogan in an amusement park. It made no sense.

Me. I was like 8 and I don't think I appreciated how terrible it was. For years I was always confused when the ending was completely different on the TV version. "Wait a minute, the black guy died and I don't remember the shark exploding!"
Die Hard is legitimately a top 5 of all time action movie. Die Hard With A Vengeance is an engaging heist movie with some good new characters (Hans' brother and SLJ) but it's not better than the original.tysker said:Die Hard 3 is at least as good as the original. Nothing wrong with Jaws 2, American Pie 2, Return to Oz or Predator 2.
None are great movies or come close to the originals, but they are still decent watches.

While those may not be as bad as some of the others I have a particular distaste for sequels without the original cast - like Grease 2. Just money grabs on name only.
Jaws 2 - while it had Roy Scheder and was "decent" I really missed Richard Dreyfuss character.
American Pie 2 - maybe you are right, I guess it was American Wedding that lacked Oz, Heather, Vicky, Jessica and Nadia. they were all back for the Reunion one which was better.
Return to Oz - meh, of course none of the originals 40+ years later just didn't like it at all
Predator 2 - no Arnold = no bueno

Godfather 2 was arguably the greatest sequel ever made. Now Godfather 3 should have never been made.

Super Troopers is one of the funniest movies Ive even seen. Watched it drunk 100s of times. Never even considered watching the second one. Didnt want to ruin it.
