Glad to see someone finally put Pantera. Vulgar Display of Power was such a good album.
Great Southern Trendkill was on regular rotation for me.

Not to nitpick, but I remember a lot of these bands from the '80's. Pantera, Black Crowes, Radiohead, Pixies, REM were all '80's bands that I remember from my college days ('83-'88)

Great thread. I offer this:
Did they really? I thought sure I remembered them at college. I'm getting old I guess!Bruce Almighty said:mandevilleag said:

Not to nitpick, but Black Crowes and Radiohead debuted in the 90s.
not to nitpick, but no one talks (or cares) about 80s pantera... ever.mandevilleag said:

The band I was probably least excited about at Rockfest was Collective Soul. But I was wrong; they put on a great show.AgBQ-00 said:
One of my favorite concert experiences was watching the lead singer of Collective Soul stand in awe of the crowd singing Shine Down back to him at Rock Fest
yes it is...i could listen to alice in chains all day. not ever seeing them in concert is one of my bigger regretsArticle 58-10 Offender said:

i'd also add stone temple pilots to the discussion. core and purple back-to-back was a pretty solid 1-2 punch in the 90's. they were so hit-or-miss at concerts though.
I feel like 1994 was the peak for that era. I was 10, so that's also one of my first true memories of experiencing new music.DallasTeleAg said:
I would say, making a list of great 90's albums without Weezer, Green Day, the Toadies or the Offspring would be lacking. 1994, in my head, is up there as one of the greatest years from popular rock music.
They had a tendency to significantly rework songs (especially hits) for concerts. While the effort is commendable, it often left people disappointed.AgBQ-00 said:
I agree on the Counting Crows set. Was not great. I don't remember anyone else being a disappointment. I do remember getting my first ever contact high though. Got home that night and ate all the left over chinese food in the fridge
I saw them in HS. 88 or 89? Mosh pits were awesome. So was stage diving.Champ Bailey said:
