Disagree the show is good but to compare to Breaking Bad because of similarities in theme doesnt do it justiceBunk Moreland said:
It provides just enough entertainment value for me to continue watching but if I had to wait week to week there's no chance I would keep up with it.
The overall quality of the show is not good and doesn't deserve any of the comparisons it gets.
Accurate, though I'd say S1 ended quite strong.Bruce Almighty said:

It doesn't. The acting is good, but the plot line is absurd. That said, the acting is good enough to sit through it. It ain't like... The Happening, or anything.Junkhead said:

I thought it was decent, just lost interest about halfway through the first season and havent gotten around to finishing it. Anytime you have a talented comedic actor in a dramatic role its going to get attention.Junkhead said:

You really need to give Dark another shot.

No show is more masterful at cranking up the tension to 11, only to have the characters figure out a last-second solve.

I just don't buy the Bateman character or this plot at all. I think part of the brilliance of BB was making Walter White's transformation from nerdy science teacher to meth kingpin actually believable.

I bailed about half way through. It never seemed realistic.Junkhead said:powerbelly said:Okay.Junkhead said:

Uh, did you actually watch the show? He made a **** ton of mistakes and was constantly having to dig himself out of errors Jesse and he made. Is it likely to happen IRL? No. But the writers did a great job of making it seem like it could. Ozark is just SMH stupid.

I get that it's not likely to happen but the way they showed it didn't make you have to make a giant leap IMO. In Ozark they just jumped right in with "this average person has been laundering cartel money for a long time" like it needed no background. So ****ing dumb.
