It's been too long, but I remember my biggest gripe being that they evolved all these questions... *SPOILER*

like the map, the statues, the birds losing their sense of magnetic direction (or something) and never answered them... wtf?

Maybe I just lost interest by Season 4... but I remember the first 2 seasons being mind blowing then 3 on a major let down that just drug me through the dirt to see it through to the end.

I watched the while series when it first aired. My advice? Don't.

I was always partial to Juliet.

Funny how I watched the show...2010ish, The now defunct G4 would show 4 episodes I think it was every Monday night, so I would binge watch four at a time per week for 6 months or so. Which is a bit of a weird way to watch a show, but it was kind of a forerunner to true binge watching.

The interesting thing about that show is that For all of the crazy storylines, the One of the main themeS is faith and spirituality. It takes all kinds of forms, but it's almost always there in the background, sometimes in the foreground.

So much for my "BES is Hayden Christensen" theory.

I can't imagine binging Lost for the first watch. So much of the experience was the water cooler aspect, reading Lostpedia, etc.

For the record I liked the ending

I don't have any pics, but these are the Lost cast members I've seen in LA in person, many during the run of the show...

Bernard (Sam Anderson) - At grocery store in the Valley.

Boone (Ian Somerhalder) - At the Beverly Hills Hotel. Saw him go into the bathroom, called a Lost super-fan buddy of mine shortly after, turned my back, and said the words, "Boone from Lost" to my buddy right as Somerhalder walked past me after leaving the bathroom. One of my more embarrassing celebrity encounters.

Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) - In Venice with his family and one other Hobbit (Billy Boyd) and his family.

Christian (John Terry) - Saw him twice at a BBQ spot I used to frequent.

Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) - Used to work out at the same gym for a couple of years. Have been next to him on a treadmill at least a dozen times.

Ethan (William Mapother) - In line behind him at my local Ralph's last year. (Fun fact, he's also Tom Cruise's cousin.)

Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) - Flew on a plane from DFW to LAX with her. She was first class, I was economy.

Nikki (Kiele Sanchez) - Last year at a lunch spot in Silver Lake with her husband Zach Gilford (Saracen from Friday Night Lights).

Paulo (Rodrigo Santoro) - When I first moved to LA I worked out at Gold's Gym in Venice and used to see him there all the time (along with a ton of other celebs).

Shannon (Maggie Grace) - She dated a guy I know through friends (Tom's founder Blake Mycoskie) and we ran into them at the same BBQ spot I used to frequent where I saw Christian.

aw Lost. the show that was so smart and filled with so many twists that the writers just abandoned them seemingly at random kind of like what D&D did to GOT.

Whaaaaat? I watched the show long after it finished airing, and never followed the threads. That's a punk move.

So many good memories watching LOST. I started watching in High School, then through College, and finished when I started my career.

I was one of the early adopters to the discussion board/internet theory days, and man just trying to remember some of the discussions & times spent analyzing the story will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I for one loved the ending. Was it perfect? No. But it hit the feels like no television show ever has.

There were leaks on the prominent Lost board and he posted them here as his "theory" or something, then said it was a spoiler, then tried to backtrack. When it turned out to be true, he was put into the 7th circle of TexAgs' inferno.

Here's the season 3 thread if someone wants to dig it out, although I'm sure he deleted it back then.

A lot of people had a lot of theories, and a lot of people have theories about current shows also

Sometimes I like to post my theories, but I've mostly stopped since a couple people got angry about it a few years back

I'm mostly on Politics now, after upsetting Staff on Food & Spirits

There was a Reddit link to a guy's obscure Wordpress site that laid out every single thing that happened episode by episode in the second-to-last season of GoT. Like everything - the loot train, Jamie giving Olenna the poison, the adventure north of the wall, the NK killing the dragon, the dragon gettting reborn, Jon taking Dany to plow town on the boat, Cersei faking the alliance, everything.

I don't remember if someone posted it or not on here. Plenty of people who were book readers needing some sort of validation would post their show "theories" in the non-reader thread during the first few seasons that magically came true while the rest of the non-readers were complaining that there were too many guys with a beard and they didn't know who was who.

Thoughts on Season 3 Episode 12, Par Avion

I'm surprised Claire's dad revealing himself as her dad didn't close out the episode. For the scene that did close it out, isn't Tom playing football with Jack a little far fetched? I can see Juliet but Tom's a stretch to me. Feel like it was done just to get a "what the hell?" from the audience.

Saw this yesterday. I don't recall hearing this level of detail about back and forth with the network on show plans back when the show was on air. In hindsight it makes a lot of sense how the way TV was done then vs now could cause a lot of problems for a show like Lost

Spoiler warning for the video. There are some other Collider videos from the same conversation talking more about Lost as well

Also, with Game of Thrones in the early seasons there was a different problem that created a lot of conflict. People who read the books already knew all of the twists and major plot points that were in the books that were out at that time, and other people knew only what had already aired on TV.

I didn't watch it at all when it was airing. The first time I watched it, I binged the whole series in like two weeks. It was the one summer when I was at A&M that I didn't take summer classes.

Watched it again with my wife last year, her first time to watch the whole thing (she watched the first few seasons when they aired).
