I just finished the show a few weeks ago. Hard to believe, but I avoided what the ending had in store all these years, so I wasn't spoiled ahead of time. I was really annoyed by the end of season 3. I totally understand why so many people were frustrated with this show, but unlike Prison Break, it didn't completely veer off and become unwatchable by the end.

So much eye candy on that show.

I was thinking about rewatching it with my son, now that he's getting older. Might have to revisit it just to see his reactions.

Something that I always loved about Lost was the music. It was the first TV show that I clearly remember being so moved by the score. Michael Giachinno killed it. I'll play a few notes from Life and Death on the piano and my wife just smiles.

I want Life and Death played at my funeral.

Comparing lost to prison break is probably not fair to either show. Lost is arguably a great (network) show with the flaws of a network show (a bloated 120 episodes over 6 seasons) when a modern show like this would be on cable/hbo/netflix and would be 5 seasons with ~10 eps each and a split 6th season with 15 eps.

Prison Break was terrible. S1 was a unique concept fairly terribly executed and each subsequent season got more and more idiotic. Every episode started with an unfixable problem, then they would solve the problem at the end of the episode only for another new, unfixable problem to show up.

I hope you didn't watch all 90 episodes of tv show you thought was terrible.

I watched season 1, not sure how much after that, because, again, it was like daytime soap opera stupid.
But it wasn't hard to see how much worse it had become if you watched ANY sports (nfl, mlb playoffs, etc) on FOX back during the shows run, they ran ads for it constantly.

I hope you have the whole thing played, including the creepy trumpet blare at the end then trigger a trap door on your casket, either a) hiding you or b) sprawling your corpse out on the floor right there in front of your horrified friends and family. Either way sounds like a pretty awesome Lost style funeral.

Twisted show and I'm lost already. They gotta be dead.
I watchEd the entire series for the first time about four months ago. Just watch it till the end. Some people didn't like the ending other people did. I was OK with it. But it is very interesting to watch.

I have to agree with you 100%. Michael Giachinno's score for LOST is fantastic and it worked perfect for the story lines of each episode. I would like to point out though that it's not the easiest score to listen to on Apple music (or the like). Take for example Life and Death - a perfectly peaceful piece of music, with such emotion. I absolutely love the song. However, then all of a sudden at the end of the piece it starts to creep out a bit and then BAM - the LOST horns start blasting. It irritates the sh*t out of me when listening while I'm working. The horns are so much apart of LOST and I'm cool with them in the music when watching the shows. I love the soundtrack so much that I had to make a playlist of all my favorite songs that have little to no horns blaring at the end of the song.

Here are a few of the good (low horn blaring) ones: Locke'd Out Again; Parting Words; The Gathering; Rose and Bernard; Ocean's Apart; Shambala; There's No Place Like Home; Landing Party; La Fleur; Lax; Ji Yeon.

This was always my favorite theme, usually reserved for big "traveling" episodes, mostly season finales.

I also loved that show and liked the ending. I feel like it was the first of the modern type of shows and if it was on today wouldn't be on a network.
Imagine if this show was picked up by HBO and mandated to the 10 episode per season format. Could have probably been the greatest show of all-time.

Still is one of the best. Just too much filler to be re-watchable. I've tried.

I disagree. I think the 120 episodes allowed much more character development than we would have gotten in a 50 episode HBO show. I loved how they dedicated entire episodes to the back stories of 1 character. And I've watched it 3 times over the years, so I think it is re-watchable.

I haven't gone back and rewatched the full series since it ended, but I rewatched Seasons 1-2 a bunch, and I agree with this.

Crazy to think I've never seen it in HD before.

Still my favorite show of all time. I started watching it live when I was In 6th grade ... never missed an episode and got all the DVDs for christmases when they would come out. I've probably rewatched it 5 times all the way through since the finale. It's always a go to when I'm bored or have nothing going on for a few weeks

First show I watched beginning to end. It was one of the first to be a communal experience with everyone discussing and debating after each episode. I liked the ending. One of the all-timers and probably signifies the peak of modern "prestige" network TV...Twin Peaks notwithstanding.

The tension they would build up with the score and then the slamming down of the LOST title as an episode would end was so great and maddening when you knew it was another week until the next episode.

The worst was the season 1 finale. Not knowing what was in the hatch, and what happened to the raft people.

Also the season 4 finale was a wtf moment
