Fantastic script. It's vintage Sorkin, returning to his courtroom drama roots (but with a lot of great humor, too).

I always kind of wondered about that when I've heard of actors doing something similar on set...is it really method acting if you are having the "act" actually done to you?

The first trailer just debuted during Cowboys/Rams on Sunday Night Football. Cannot wait for this...

Reading about the true story it seems like it was mostly anti war protesting, the trailer makes it seem more civil rights. It will be interesting which direction the film goes with today's climate.

I predict the reaction to this film in 2020 will be a fair, even, and measured response based on the merits of the film.

I'm going to preface this by saying that I, myself, am fairly liberal (probably extremely liberal for Texas), but I can't help but predict that this movie is going to be like taking a warm bath for liberals and that a lot of people are going to hate it.

It's going to feel good, it's probably even going to be pretty good, but just having watched a lot of Sorkin over the years it's going to have that unrealistic snappy-dialogue-induced, we're-all-just-doing-our-best-to-save-the-world feel like the rest of his stuff.
