I definitely enjoyed season 2 more than season 1. For me, this is probably due most to Ellen Page's character being less insufferable. Her receding hairline is still tough to look at though. She looks like a vegan diet gone wrong.

My only complaint is in the final episode where Lila's surprise - being able to mimic the superpower of her opponent - is revealed. A little foreshadowing would have made this seem less like something the writers pulled out of their butts at the last minute.

It didn't bother me because I kind of guessed she was one of them after it revealed the handler as her "mom"

I think they might have hinted at it during her fight with 5 in an earlier episode. I remember she was moving around the room at a distances and speed that were not normal. I thought they were just overdoing it on her fighting abilities but it makes more sense now that she was just imitating 5's powers.

I think when you look back on it, you feel a little dumb for thinking the Handler took on a daughter as a charity case. She wouldn't have ever done that without a reason to think the child would be talented in some way.

I didn't see it but I think it was a nice twist at the end and makes a lot of sense.

I never thought it was a charity case, but never considered the real reason. I think that could be a negative effect of binge watching

I suppose I shouldn't say charity case she obviously wanted someone extremely loyal to her as an underling, but I should have thought about why her in particular.

One thing that has not made any sense yet is this:

So the Father is an alien? they seemed to show him taking his face off as he murdered all the people in that room after Kennedy was killed, but then nothing else...

It's obviously a slow build. The first two seasons were based on source material. If I'm not mistaken, I think the slate is clean now. Will be interesting to see where they take it.

I think the handler was actually stopping time for her, which is why five eventually caught on to what was happening and was like 'you can come out now.'

wife and I got through season two this weekend, really like this show.

2nd season was way better than the first, IMO. Seems to get super interesting in the next one! NGL tho, the idea of them fighting off a russian invasion would have made for an awesome show. The one scene tease was amazing.

Definitely liked second season better than first. 'Maybe because so much of first season is spent introducing the characters. Understand the protagonists going in.

Did Harlan manifesting powers trigger the Handler calling for the Commission to go to war?

Agree with the Vanya/Sissy storyline. I put it on the level with the UAV controller storyline from the first season of Jack Ryan.
