Steely Dan being exempted from this conversation.....
Fight me.
Fight me.

Why would anyone fight you over something nobody cares about?
People care if pop songs are catchy. That's the entire point. There's no credit for playing harder instruments.

Just trying to understand why you're so upset about something that seems made up. Could you share the rest of the top 5 that this impressive Toto classic beat out?
Good thing you exempted the Dan, or we'd have a dust-up.Yelnick McWawa said:

I've read in several different accounts that the guys running the sound boards for rock bands in the late 70's/early 80's would put on Aja or Gaucho to set up the EQ in the arenas.

The fact that you think anyone is upset or feeling any sort of emotion about this (other than confusion about why you feel the need to be a dick all the time) is pretty astounding.
"Fight me" is a pretty common trope as far as online discussions are concerned.
Maybe switch to Sanka.

Steve Lukather played on "Beat It" and "Physical" and a bunch of stuff before, between, and after those songs. He's pretty good.
But to me it is the most pop of all their songsGiveEmHellBill said:Tanya 93 said:

There are a half dozen better Cure songs than that. Friday I'm in Love is the Cure's Shiny Happy People.

That was EVH on Beat It.
