Interesting and annoying. I lost regional Fox Sports on Dish Network in July 2019 and still haven't gotten it back.

I'm a Dish guy as well. Besides no FSSW for over a year I now don't have the freakin' FOX broadcast channel.

Anybody in the same boat or is that a local thing?

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Must be a local spat. My Fox channel is out of Shreveport.

At the end of the day, it's all about choices- you can choose to pay or choose not to pay. Simple as that. Everyone knew (or should have known) the streaming guys had to be significantly cheaper to gain viewership- and that they would slowly but surely inch their prices closer and closer to that of cable and satellite once they got you hooked.

You will most likely get the ala carte model in the future where you will have to subscribe to everything you want to see- $10-15 for channels like HBO, Showtime, etc. ( already in place), an ESPN package could be $15-20 to get access to all of their channels, Fox could charge. $10-15 for all of their programming, NBC and CBS already have streaming packages where you pay for all access, etc. pretty much and channel you want to watch has a pay streaming package (unless you are already paying for cable or satellite).

There has been talk for 2-3 years now on national sports talk shows that folks like Apple, YouTube, Facebook, etc. could be big bidders in the sports realm, forcing you to subscribe to multiple platforms to get all of the sports you want.

It's as cheap and easy it is ever going to be right now in my opinion.

I had no problem with this issue until I tried to watch High School Scoreboard last night. My son and I were slightly pissed off. This crap always happened when we had Dish.

I am curious what the market would be for a streamer of only sports channels along with the dual channels like TNT and TBS.

Local channels, Sports channels, Hallmark channels, FX channels, Discovery, and Comedy Central. Done.

Price accordingly for just those channels and any streaming service could immediately win the business of a majority of tv streamers. But will probably never happen.

The younger generation is hardly watching any sports on TV. That along with the ratings drop of professional sports, not sure that model would be sustainable any longer.

I'm betting it is probably part of the contractual terms with those providers of content- not yttv

Yep, if you don't tell somebody, no one will know- including nfl and the networks that show their games

You are probably correct, but it still sucks and would not be an issue with a real physical DVR from cable or satellite carriers
