Both of which are much better than A Christmas Story.
I have always hated A Christmas Story.

Christmas Vacation is my #2 Christmas movie and Die Hard is #1.

For some reason, I never thought of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang as a Christmas movie, but it does take place around Christmas and that movie is one of my favorites of that decade. Such an underrated and under the radar movie.

Elf vs A Christmas Story. In all the polls we've done this year, this is the only one where I wish I could smite each answer with the power of Thor. Both movies are garbage

IMO there have been several head scratchers so far and more are in the works in the current round. A Christmas Story is pure genius from start to finish while Elf has some good moments (most involving Zooey Deschanel & Bob Newhart, both which get far too little screen time). I certainly don't get how Dr. Seuss' the Grinch beat either Klaus or Arthur Christmas unless they got it confused with the '60s TV Special. I also don't get how The Little Matchgirl did not runaway with the Shorts sub-bracket unless many also got the 1948 Rudolph short confused with the Rankin/Bass TV Special.

I guess I should have pointed out it was not the TV special but I did give a release date (thought everyone knew the TV special was produced in the '60s), a link so one could watch the theatrical short and why would I have the same feature in two different brackets?

All great points and I should have noticed.

I was born in the early 80s, so Rudolph always seemed like such a "long-ago" kids movie. So I'm not sure I would've thought the 1960s were more likely than the 1940s

I had never heard of The Office Christmas Party before this thread. I saw a small bit of it on TV but didn't watch the rest because I hate edited movies and commercials. It seems funny from the part I saw.

Is this a movie worth watching if you enjoyed Bateman in Horrible Bosses and the like?
