How did I miss this movie the last four years? Just finished it tonight, and man what a great movie. Any recommendations of other neo-westerns for those who enjoyed this one?
Thanks. I think I'm going to watch it soon.Belton Ag said:
Wind River is heartbreaking but a fantastic movie. One of my favorites of the last 5 years.

Haven't seen Wind River, but it's another Taylor Sheridan movie. I'm becoming a big fan of this guy. Have you seen Wind River?
Wind River is great too, but Hell Or High Water is just so Texas that I keep coming back to it. The most comparable movie I can think of specifically to it is The Town, which I love as well, but it's Boston instead of West Texas.aggierogue said:

My favorite of his so far. Amazingly well done.
Do yourself a favor and just rent it on Prime. No commercials. So much better.Max Power said:Wind River is great too, but Hell Or High Water is just so Texas that I keep coming back to it. I need to watch Yellowstone, which is made by Sheridan, but I haven't seen a single episode. I don't think any of my streaming services carry it.

Yellowstone is awesome. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

That sucks. Hopefully he will be okay.Hey Nav said:
Steaks cooked medium rare... That weren't no question.
Can't believe Jeff Bridges is the same kid who was in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Crazy Heart is a great film, too.
I'm sending some good wishes towards Jeff's way. Apparently he has melanoma and has had chemo recently.
If you stop by, maybe Ill give you peaceMSFC Aggie said:
This is my favorite scene. When he slowly uncocks the rifle when the fam shows up....subtle greatness.

I really think Jeff Bridges is the greatest actor of my lifetime. Not the biggest star or box office draw, but he completely disappears into his characters. He just keeps getting better as he ages, too. I hope he makes it through the cancer and gives us a lot more.
