How did I miss this movie the last four years? Just finished it tonight, and man what a great movie. Any recommendations of other neo-westerns for those who enjoyed this one?

Haven't seen Wind River, but it's another Taylor Sheridan movie. I'm becoming a big fan of this guy. Have you seen Wind River?

Everything Taylor touches is gold....Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River...and yes...Yellowstone
In my experience, there's no such thing as luck.

Wind River is great too, but Hell Or High Water is just so Texas that I keep coming back to it. The most comparable movie I can think of specifically to it is The Town, which I love as well, but it's Boston instead of West Texas.

I need to watch Yellowstone, which is made by Sheridan, but I haven't seen a single episode. I don't think any of my streaming services carry it.

Hell or High Water is an awesome movie and the music is just as good. Nick Cave abd Warren Ellis also did The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (also a great movie).

Love all the Sheridan flicks but Wind River is my favorite. Not a pleasant watch, but the characters stand out more for some reason. They're all amazingly shot movies.

Best movie of the 2010s and IMO, better than No Country For Old Men.

This is my favorite scene. When he slowly uncocks the rifle when the fam shows up....subtle greatness.

Do yourself a favor and just rent it on Prime. No commercials. So much better.

Yellowstone is awesome. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

Mud is pretty good too. More coming of age, southern gothic. But great performance from MM and the kids. I think it's on Netflix and HBOmax

We love Yellowstone. All of the seasons so far are on Peacock. Not sure how a couple months of the premium (commercial free) plan compare to renting the seasons.

Sheridan's newest movie (screenplay and directed) is coming out in just a few months. Should be direct to HBO Max. Sounds awesome as expected.

Grew up in Abilene and love hearing the small towns they name in the movie. It was filmed in New Mexico but is pretty spot on with settings with exception of the caprock in Post.

So many great scenes and great acting but the old lady waitress takes the cake. "What dontcha want?!" She is my grandma exactly.

Steaks cooked medium rare... That weren't no question.

Can't believe Jeff Bridges is the same kid who was in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Crazy Heart is a great film, too.

I'm sending some good wishes towards Jeff's way. Apparently he has melanoma and has had chemo recently.

That sucks. Hopefully he will be okay.

If we're talking about great films with Jeff Bridges, it starts with The Big Lebowski.

You want a great underrated Bridges movie, try White Squall.

I really think Jeff Bridges is the greatest actor of my lifetime. Not the biggest star or box office draw, but he completely disappears into his characters. He just keeps getting better as he ages, too. I hope he makes it through the cancer and gives us a lot more.

Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, & Meryl Streep are all above him on the list but its a short list.
