Anyone else watching the new season?

Focuses on East LA College basketball team.

Plenty of players to root for in this one.

Not even remotely interested. I would love to see the Netflix numbers on this though. Just how big of a drop off in popularity is there between the two.

The last two football seasons were very mediocre. They needed to do something different.

One episode in... I found the football episodes and seasons very interesting, I'm hoping there are one or two guys to root for in this basketball season.

I haven't watched any of these series, but is Blinn - Brenham ever brought up? We always knew that to be the first/last stop if someone was trying to make D1. Plenty of guys I went to high school with had to take that route because of grades and...other problems. This is for football and basketball.

Blinn? Not that I recall, but the schools featured mostly play local, within their state, and none of them are anywhere close to Texas...

Almost done with the season. A lot better than the last couple of football ones.

Got bored with the last football season and didn't finish. I mostly enjoyed the other seasons...guess watching an unhinged coach melt down all the time was enough to keep me interested.

Will give this a try if reviews are good.

I saw Blinn once when they showed a list of rankings but that's about it as far as the show goes.

Blinn is apparently too stable for this show.

As with other seasons, one of the underrated stars of the show is an assistant coach.

Nope. The show focuses on crappy schools, in crappy locations, with coaches that are just as unstable as the players. Blinn would not be crazy enough to make the show.

This is by far the best season of any Last Chance doc. I really enjoyed the last football one, but this one is just the best by far of any season. Great team. Great coaches. Just fantastic.

To be filming as Covid hit and get to see the reaction of the players was pretty amazing.

I'm a HUGE football guy, but this was easily the best season of LCU. Easy to root for the kids and coaches. I really, really like these guys.

Also, one of the most unintentionally funny couple of minutes of TV I've seen in a LONG, LONG time was when the team heads up to the mountains for a retreat and some of the guys take a hike in the woods. Holy **** that was comedy gold.

When they all do their impersonations of Mosley, I was dying.

I've never seen any of the LCU until this one and I'm not a basketball guy but I like this. The coach's appear to be in it for the right reason and doing what they can to try to change the life trajectory for these guys.

Finished it Saturday.

It is by far their best season yet. The fact that you can legit cheer for everyone in this show makes it so much more enjoyable to watch.

I'll have to give it another chance as I started it and just got bored with it. Loved the first 2 season in EMCC and the first season with the crazy coach in Kansas, but the season they did in Oakland had a little too much SJ preaching from the coach but still liked the kids in that one.

QB1 is another one I like but it seems every QB they focus on is an absolute turd, Tate Martell, Spenser Rattler,Justin Fields etc. Jake Frome seemed like the only like able kid on it.

This season definitely had the best coaches they've had in the show to date.

I agree, minus Joe. Damn, that dude's a whiny, entitled *****. Somewhat redeemed himself the final episode, but no way I'd want that guy on my team.

Good watch overall. I've enjoyed almost every season.

Joe was super self destructive, but it was clear to me those were defensive mechanisms to keep from being let down again. Dude seems like a good guy who just needs guidance. There's a reason the entire team loved Joe.

I admire the coaches patience with him. They definitely went above and beyond, but I think that young man will be better for it.

I thought the same way you did originally, but there were two telling things for me: his teammates freaking loved the guy, and Mosley refused to ever quit on him. He was also absolutely brilliant on the court just in the way he saw the game. There is a reason Mosley had him coming off the bench as instant offense. You have to remember they only show you certain clips. They needed some drama on the show, and Joe provided that.

Joe and KD were my two favorites to watch on the court.

When you consider all that he does every day, his energy level is off the charts.

No joke. I was telling my wife about this. There's no way I could do what he does in a day. Honestly, I was surprised in the last episode when he got "fat". Would've thought he had the energy/stamina to keep going.

I guess they wouldn't let him do his spin class online (Peloton does it), and he wasn't running around chasing his team all over the court because they didn't have practice or a team, so the weight gain is the end result.

All of the coaches seem to be there for the right reason - teach and coach basketball and mentor these kids. I can see Coach Mosley getting a D2 offer and Coach Rob getting a head coaching gig out of this if there is a chance to continue to mentor. Coach Ken is awesome and an inspiration. Such a nice change from the Last Chance U football coaches.

Agreed. Did not enjoy the seasons when the coaches were complete a-holes and dropped the f word every other word. This was a refreshing change.
