I'll bet the Czech kids are pretty good. Also calling that the Dont Bothers make the playoffs and go up against the Ducks. If Mighty Duck shows are anything, they are predictable.

I'd bet on the Don't Bothers losing the championship to set up season 2.

Finale was awesome.

I lost it when they came out for the third period.

Same. Somebody was cutting onions in here. Happy onions.

Really loved this show and I watched it on my own without my kids (who were only mildly interested)

Ending would have been better if they were eating at P.F. Chang's in the end.

Awesome finale and great season. Bringing out the OG jerseys was pretty awesome.

Here's hoping for a Season 2, and that more of the original Ducks return. (Conway in particular.)

The following comes with the caveat that I was too old for the original Mighty Ducks when it came out. So I don't have the nostalgia for it that you guys have. Watching this now with my wife (who was into the original) and my 12 yr old son. I pretty much got what I was expecting from the storyline, and the Nick kid and Ducks coach were funny, just wish the hockey parts weren't so laughably bad.

Granted, my son plays travel hockey, so we're not the average viewer, but just every single aspect of the hockey was so unbelievably bad it affected our enjoyment of the show. I know, I know, its a Disney show with actors not skaters, but man, the hockey writing and action was just.....bad.

I read that they had wanted to do more with the old cast, but they filmed the show in Canada and the Covid restrictions made it very difficult to have guest stars. (2 week quarantine and then filming). That's why they were only in 1 episode and any of the old cast that could not get away from work for a month to film 1 episode were not in it.

It's surprisingly good as well.

Definitely liked game changers. Cheesy but it was very good for what it was.

Incredibly bad. Adult novice league in the Deep South levels of bad hockey. The Ducks that cut him in the first episode was clearly not the same team at the end. Made no sense.

Still enjoyed every bit.

I've been watching Mighty Ducks and Big Shot in Disney, mainly because I have a son who played ice hockey and a daughter who played basketball. It's definitely easier for actors to pretend to be basketball players than hockey players, but both are pretty bad. All in all, both shows are ok, but I like Big Shot more.

And neither Emilio Estevez or John Stamos can pull off the grumpy aging "teacher" role nearly as well as William Zabka.
