For no reason at all Jon Hamm and Adam Scott recreated the SIMON & SIMON intro and it's glorious pic.twitter.com/HwOVw8XJON

So this is from an Adult Swim show from a decade or so ago called The Greatest Event in Television History. There are four episodes, each chronicling the recreation of a different 70s/80s TV show opening. They're done in a mockumentary style with Jeff Probst as host, and they're actually quite hilarious. At the end of each episode, they reveal the recreation they've been building up to. Great stuff.oragator said:For no reason at all Jon Hamm and Adam Scott recreated the SIMON & SIMON intro and it's glorious pic.twitter.com/HwOVw8XJON

Chris Farley on almost accepting the role of THE CABLE GUY. I always knew he turned it down but never saw actual footage of him discussing it. Really cool. pic.twitter.com/5xoCV2WwGC

I saw this play on television and I couldn’t tell anybody about it because of the channel I was watching it on, ha. I thought why is Tom Cruise making a commercial like this ???? Josh wouldn’t believe me, but I memorized the number and called it from the payphone of a movie… https://t.co/Kp6uNyNcRI

Many scenes did have real sharks. The Australian stunt diver who pretended to be my dad in the cage scene had a complete nervous breakdown because he was so scared of the real shark. Literally had lied about his familiarity with sharks, freaked out, and ended up in a nut house. https://t.co/IQSmlpXCTW

One of the best directors in the world worked with one of the biggest movie stars in the world, waited like 12 years, and then made a movie that deconstructed the movie stars cult with laser focus

Gotta imagine it got a bit intense in there
For the record, PTA has never publicly said that Cruise "erupted with anger" or anything specific bout Cruise's reaction to the movie, just that he screened it for him.
