The Offspring. I got into them back in high school, and they've dropped solid albums ever since Splinter in 03. Their newest album that just dropped on Spotify is actually pretty good.

Their sound hasn't changed much. They play slightly lower keys now to match Dexter's voice, but other than that they still sound like they did in 1999.

Conspiracy of One is probably their only meh album for me.

No one is more consistent than AC/DC. They've sounded exactly the same for 40 years. And I say that as a compliment.

Every single Boston song sounds the same to me. So that's pretty consistent.

Worst live act I've seen in my life and I saw them at Red Rocks. Hard to f^ck up that experience and, yet, they did.

Thrice. Their sound has evolved quite a bit as the years go by but I find myself liking it all. Albums I didn't think I was a fan of upon initial release I'll hear years later and not understand why I wasn't a fan in the first place.

Agreed. Boston was terrible live. When I saw them, Styx opened up for them and blew them out of the water.

Had to see Boston live pre around 86 to be worth a damn. After that, the egomaniacal Tom Scholz screwed things up by pissing a lot of people off. I'm guessing, just a hunch, but I'm guessing you saw Boston more recently than 86. Old Boston live wasn't bad, still not as great as they were in the studio, but way better than the **** Scholz toured and recorded with later. That guy was and is a complete dick.

I saw Styx at Universal Citywalk in early 2004 for a "Jim Ladd's Living Room" show for 95.5 KLOS.

Both Dennis DeYoung and Tommy Shaw where there. The band was tight.

There were only about 300 people in the building (Hard Rock Cafe) so it was a very intimate setting.

That show ranks right up there with some of the best I've seen.

For me, the most consistent band has been Reverend Horton Heat.

I've seen those guys live at least 10-15 times over the past 25 years.
Austin @ Liberty Lunch, Austin Music Hall (with Satan's Cheerleaders)
Denver multiple times
Los Angeles multiple times
Las Vegas @ Mandalay Bay HOB
Sydney, Australia multiple times
most recently, October 2020 at a drive-in in Riverside, CA during the California lockdowns.

They've delivered a consistent product and I've always enjoyed the show.

I'm sick and tired of people saying that we put out 11 albums that sound exactly the same. In fact, we've put out 12 albums that sound exactly the same. - Angus Young

I've seen them three times. The were great in two of those concerts, the other, they were awful.

Wierd. I've seen Boston and Styx on separate occasions. Boston kicked ass. Styx blew so hard we ended up just getting a table in the back of the venue and hanging out with skme drinks instead of even watching the second half of their set.

There was a period of time when Delp couldn't hit his high notes anymore. During the later tours he teamed up with a co-singer to hit the notes he couldn't. Maybe you saw them before they started doing that?
