Got it. My problem is my wife hates horror. So I have limited time. And I've got a 10 year old who likes pre-teen (PG and some PG-13) horror, but she gets scared and wants to sleep with us. She loved A Quiet Place, and we are looking forward to A Quiet Place 2 in the next week. Not to derail, but any recs for scary movies for kids? She's seen Arachnophobia, The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Witches, Gremlins, A Quiet Place, The Others, Poltergeist, and Coraline. We aren't ready for anything too graphic yet. But it's fun watching somewhat scary stuff with her. A lot of stuff on the fringe has sex over-the-top profanity, and I'm just not ready to take her there yet. We haven't even watched Stranger Things yet. Getting close for that and stuff like The Lost Boys.
Oh absolutely. I know it's old but I really loved the legend of ichabod crane by Disney. It's just fun and might be a bit creepy for your kiddo.
I loved Cry Baby Lane, the Are you afraid of the Dark movie back in the 90s.
Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a bad ass fun one.
Gremlins 2: A new batch is certainly good for kids.
Little Shop of Horrors would be just fine for the kid and they may love the music too.
Nightmare Before Christmas
Beetlejuice
Casper
House with a clock in its walls
The Ring isn't bloody, try that one
1408 would work
The Grudge
The Skeleton Key
Tremors
What Lies Beneath
Rear Window (may be a little slow)
Anaconda
Darkness Falls
