Signs is absolutely brilliant and his best movie. It's Night of the Living Dead with aliens. They're supposed to be mysterious, you're not supposed to know their motivations. The movie is from the POV of a family that has no idea what the **** is going on, not the US government.

Idk why people are btching about the water in Signs. The characters acknowledge that the aliens are possibly afraid of it. But "it sounds made up."
The least plausible aspect of that film is that a farm in rural america doesnt have a rifle. It doesnt matter if hes clergy or they have kids, rural folk have at least 1 rifle.

I watched Signs in the theater. I'll never forget the setup where we were literally told that the TV news broadcast would include footage of an alien. Everyone knew we were about to see it. Even still, I could hear gasps of surprise all around me when the alien actually appeared. It was awesome.
Signs was great. And you can actually watch it with young kids which is surprisingly difficult with most good movies.
Split is very good.

And I will add after going through this thread....I've heard The Visit is hilarious in a way you would not expect and has the same type of following of "DONT LET SOMEONE SPOIL THE ENDING" such as 6th Sense or even Cabin in the Woods
Yeah, but he's had enough great movies that it makes no sense for people to assume that if Shyamalan made it, then it must be crap. Turns out "Old" is based on a 2010 Spanish graphic novel that doesn't have a twist ending.

It doesn't it is more of a fable. I read it the other night and really enjoyed it. That isn't to say He can't make adjustments but the original writer did not want some twist

This thread is hilarious. There are like 2 pots about the actual movie. Randomly saw this on HBO at the hotel yesterday and came here to see what Texags thought when it came out.
Despite the lack of commentary on the movie, somebody called out the horrible acting just from the trailer. In some scenes looked like the actors were intentionally trying to do a bad job of acting.
