Just finished a rewatch of Entourage and enjoyed the "final" episode before the movie. Made me wonder what you consider the best final episode of a show to be?

Outside of Newhart, I think The Office had an amazing finale
The original series finale of Futurama - "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" - was pretty damn solid. Ending was very satisfying.

Newhart is probably the best and I didn't even watch the show. One not listed yet that was memorable was Fresh Prince.
I thought Six Feet Under's was really well done.
If you are a Star Wars fan, The Clone Wars final 3 episodes were f'ing badass and arguably some of the best Star Wars put out since the OT.

ER. Show was a shell of its former self for about 8 years, but the finale was really well done. Nice mix of nostalgia and business as usual.

The Carter Dr Green parallels we're moving.
Dexter ended when Rita died.
Agree on Newhart being the best but The Shield had a tight finish.
Kind of going off on a tangent, but I think St. Elsewhere has to be ranked up there as one of the strangest, and when you consider the cross overs w/ other shows it's even stranger.
Dexter hands down!

Although it only lasted three seasons, I like the way The Travelers ended because it reset the entire series and it got canceled, so it became like a nice little loop.

Dennis Franz was amazing throughout the series. He carried that show through how many partners, bosses and costars?? He was the constant.
