So, Boxofficemojo is reporting that Black Widow made a huge $80 BO it's opening weekend. I think that is a huge number.
They are also reporting that Disney is saying that they made an additional $60 million(!) on Disney + premier pay-per-view. Keep in mind that the Disney + totals are basically pure profit for them, as they aren't giving a cut to anyone like the theaters are getting.
At this moment in time (when attendance is still down because of the pandemic), you have to look at these numbers differently. And I think this opening weekend is just phenomenal and a good indicator of our appetite for entertainment.
BRING ON SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS!!!
One more edit: I see that Black Widow brought in $78 million internationally.....and that doesn't include the very lucrative Chinese market, as it currently does not have a release date announced yet.
I'll see Shang-Chi in the theaters, but long-term, the simultaneous releases in theaters and premium on Disney+ just seems to make the most sense.imjustsayin said:I think Shang chi has theater exclusivity for 45 days. It'll be interesting to see how these two models play out from the business standpoint and where Disney decides to go from there. I do think they are committed to the theater medium, which I'm very happy about. But it'll be interesting if they feel like exclusivity is the way to go or to go with a day and date model.GiveEmHellBill said:

Why does he even think he's met/fought Captain America? As the big guy in the prison pointed out, Steve was in the ice from 40s to 2015. He could have been lying about fighting him, but he asked Natasha if Cap ever talked about Red Guardian. So, He thinks Cap knows about him. Not likely, other than just getting some old SHIELD files, or something.Quote:
Also I'd love for the Red Guardian to meet Sam as Captain America and not miss a beat. He only sees the costume rather than the man beneath it so doesn't even care that it's not Steve Rogers

Maybe it was the Captain America from Falcon and Winter Soldier
