John Mayer is one of my favorite living musicians and his latest studio album just dropped.
In case any of y'all are also fans, maybe don't read any further until you've listened.
If you're feeling a little deja vu as you listen, it may be because we've actually already heard 4/10 of the songs as singles in the past 4 years since his last album.
I'm not a music writer, but I'll do my best to give a first listen reaction. The only songs I felt myself "jamming" to were the ones I'd heard already and "Til the Right One Comes." My god "Why You No Love Me" was so cringe and bad I almost skipped it on first listen, and I ordered the vinyl which sucks because if I spin the album, it'll be too much effort to skip. "Wild Blue" is pretty chill and definitely fits in the 80s vibe. That's all I can think to contribute after one listen. If I show back up on this thread in a day or two with a different opinion, don't shoot. I didn't like Born and Raised when it was released and now it rotates as my favorite album with Continuum. I liked Search for Everything when it was released and find a lot of it good but skippable now.
