Hey...so.. um
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think that is part of the reason I like him as an actor. Everything he does has a little mystery to it. Almost like you never get the full story. It is intriguing.

Those who watched, your thoughts on the female character who was espousing "Columbus genocide, native genocide " theories in her classroom. I turned it off after that. Was I to harsh? Should I give it more time?

Nope. I'm done. I turned it off right there. I love Diane Weist the actress but f the sjw bs
Can you not handle differing points of view in the world?

The commentary that offended you is hardly the point of the show. I'm not a fan of SJW BS either, but I'm capable of ignoring the bad for the sake of the good. It's not like I forced myself to sit through an hour long documentary discussing the white man's oppression of all pigmented people and the destruction of Western civilization.

I mean seriously, Diane Weist was in the first two episodes for maybe 5 minutes.

You do you man; whatever makes you happy.

I completely agree with you. I have quit shows when they have gone woke, but this doesn't even register.

Did anyone watch Episode 3?

I thought it was pretty good. **** is about to hit the fan in episode 4 and beyond it seems.

I am still liking it.

I thought ep 3 was bad bad. It felt like i missed 2 episodes of story building yet I didn't.

Ep 4 was better but there is nothing or no one i care about so far on this show. Well I did like Kyle chandler in the pilot. "the wrong kid died"

It feels like all this show has is a gloomy tone but no actual substance. I mean the big thing right now is just two groups whining back and forth. It doesn't feel like much is at stake.

And the end of ep 4? A low level drug deal is about to take place to some tweaking addict. Who gives a damn? Why did they feel the need to bust that right then and there? Just leave and get backup.

The acting and tone is good, but so far there is ZERO meat.

Well things have certainly escalated, I am enjoying it...however I'm disappointed Sheridan hasn't made an appearance as deputy or cowboy

Next episode has one of those cutting horse scenes in the prison yard. Dude seems to have a fetish for them.

Well holy *****..that got interesting in a hurry!

Hopefully, Sheridan and his team of 6666's can ride in and save the day by providing some horsy tricks

Yeah episode 9 was definitely dark. Glad we stuck with it since not much happened until then

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have stayed with it. It's pretty much been background noise and I'm not aware of everything going on. But yeah the last episode turnt up quick. Also, I hate the mom and the hooker.
ORAggieFan
How long do you want to ignore this user?
That was atrocious. So much so unrealistic. I can take that in an action movie, not a show like this. Sheridan is just awful now.

I must be in the minority but I'm really liking this show. I'm one episode behind but I think it's been great so far. Renner, Dillon, and Handley have been fantastic.

But yeah...Not a fan of mom. She's a beating. The classroom stuff doesn't bother me because it seems to be a correlation/metaphor for the goings on in the show. But damn even the scenes when she's at home it's a just a drag. I find myself thinking 'STFU and let's move on' everytime she appears.

You're about to watch the most unrealistic, lazy, stupid, horrible, awful piece of writing I've seen.

This show has been enjoyable but has definitely gone off the rails. Not sure how they tie everything up in just one more episode. This is probably the most violent show I've ever seen in terms of them showing killings and keeping the camera on it.

Caught up last night.

It's pretty far fetched that's for sure with a few WTF really moments but it's not anything that ruins the show for me.

It's a fiction action thriller show...I expect some embellishment.
ORAggieFan
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Some embellishment, sure. But, lets look at this.

They decide that morning to transfer a guy to county. They treat him as if he's the most dangerous person in the prison including a gag, multiple cuffs and wheeling him around. Yet, they just leave him in the middle of a room, unguarded, witch all his allies doing "work" in that same room? Meanwhile, right next to them, happens to be the only criminal in the prison smart enough to know what color each key unlocks, even keys he'd likely have never seen in use?

Like I said it's not without it's flaws but it's not the worst most outlandish plot I've ever seen.

I can live with some but if Sheridan keeps it up where it's outlandish plot twist followed by outlandish plot twist followed by outlandish plot twist then I'm done.

It's why I quit Yellowstone. No way one family has THAT much bad luck.

Not quiting this one yet but we'll see how it goes moving forward.

I'll watch the finale. I won't watch next season and I'll avoid 1883 and 6666 due to the horrendous writing of this and Season 4 of Yellowstone.

So, yeah, I'll watch one more episode.
ORAggieFan
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Anyone watch the finale? A few more dumb parts but mostly was just the end of an action movie. The guard on the tower made zero sense. As did SWAT lugging around two hurt cops with no body armor into battle.

I probably won't bother with season 2, but we will see. If I still have Paramount+ I may try as I like Renner and the dude the escaped who I anticipate is the main villain next season.

Yep. Wife and I had the same thoughts. They would get McClusky out of there. Would've made more sense for that guard to shoot himself than to shoot at the national guard.

Not sure what they'll do in Season 2 since all of Renner's customers are now dead, but I'll probably give it a go.
_lefraud_
How long do you want to ignore this user?

The guard was only living for his job. His ''life" at home sucked, so in his eyes, the only thing that made him wake up each day was being threatened with the takeover...then the national guard dude pissed him off, so he decided this was the end (for himself)

The ending was fine...as they had to set up a season 2, which will be the Russian seeking out Mike and Iris.

All of the swat scenes were horribly stupid. I like the show, but there is a bout 0 realism anytime those guys are on screen.
Ag_07
How long do you want to ignore this user?

Like all having suppressed guns but not sounding like a suppressed gun?

I thought that finale was absolutely trash. EP 9 I was fine with but that was awful.

From the new chopper being shot at, to the state police reading Mike his Miranda rights, to the SWAT team, and finally the dead bodies everywhere.

The only thing that added to the storyline was Milo getting out. Other than that none of it moved the story along. Almost like Sheridan just wanted to set his personal record for body count in any one episode.

I may tune into S2 but the leash is short. Sucks because this was on it's way to being REALLY good until the end.

I watched the entire season; however, it was all downhill after Kyle Chandler was killed off. Not sure if I will tune in for S2.

I just started this (thru episode 3) and I am having a difficult time following what the hell is going on in the show.

Like...I don't understand how the guard somehow got mixed up with the crips. Something about a letter? Or something unsanctioned?

WTF are they talking about?

I know he's a Hollywood god at the moment, but that describes Sheridan to me.

His stories are a mile wide, and an inch deep.

That the funniest s__t I read! Literally the stuff that made you turn it off was the ONLY true and realistic thing about the whole show! I spent 14 years in prison myself; the stuff I'm seeing in this episode is like, STR8 outta the mind of some brainstorming yuppies in a writers room who've never spent a DAY inside. Or likely in ANY crisis. Now, that professor's lesson on Slavery and s__t? THAT is actually real and honest, coming from a guy who's KNOWN people forced to pick cotton on a chain-gang of exclusively African American men in MODERN DAY AMERICA! And,... funny story... RIGHT THERE IN TEXAS!! It can be traced DIRECTLY back to the decade after slavery ended, when whites, after ONE ELECTION, in which blacks were elected, started making the black ex-slaves "correctly" answer questions like: "How many bubbles in a bar of soap?" before they could vote, completely eliminating ALL. black suffrage/voting rights in one swing, THEN made up laws like 15 years in prison for "Loitering," which, of course, applied ONLY to black men, who were rounded up and found themselves RIGHT BACK IN SLAVERY again, THIS time with a heavy rusted shackle around their legs and no freedom AT ALL. This was how slavery was re-instituted in America (NO! NEVER ENDED!) and GUESS WHAT ??? CONTINUES TO THIS DAY (CLAP CLAP) RIGHT IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
Now you can go change that channel if it's too annoying for people to reach "lessons" and "history," or DARE sound "Woke."
