Really needed a full album of Chris Cornell singing the BeatlesSome Junkie Cosmonaut said:
Some awesome covers in there.
Do you admire drug pushers for being "fun"?Some Junkie Cosmonaut said:aTmAg said:
Pretty much every musician is overrated. They don't "move mountains" or "start revolutions" or any of that crap. In fact, much of the influence they do have over has been negative. Whether it be rap "artists" glorifying gang life, rock bands glorifying drugs, Madonna types selling ****iness, etc. These musicians laugh their way to the bank while many of the kids they influence screw over their lives. It's almost as bad as drug pushers. In hindsight, nothing is more pathetic than 25-45 year olds singing about smoking in the boys room at school, even though I liked it as a kid
Like I've said before, all they do is vibrate air. Maybe guys like Beethoven were geniuses, but that's about it.
Ib4: old man shakes fist at clouds
You sound really fun.
Well that was mean. Some Junkie Cosmonaut said:CoolaidWade said:
Worst band ever.
These threads are always a great spreadsheet updater for people whose opinions you should ignore moving forward.
And I'm not even a big Beatles guy but this is absolute nonsense and you should never comment on any music topic again.

The Beatles were great in studio but very average live. If you pull up old videos of them playing live, many are them lip syncing. The ones that aren't are decent, but nothing great. Their magic was in the studio, and imo, they we're not good enough live musicians to perform all their post Rubber Soul music. That, or the technology just wasn't there yet.

Yeah, I guess moving over a billion units makes you overrated, as does selling 177 million more units than any band ever in the US ever has, 20 number one hits (a record), and McCartney is the richest pure musician ever.
But outside of that, yeah they're the suck.
You sound kind of like a sip defending them as the biggest brand of all time in college football because they generate the most revenue.
What a bizarre point.
Yes! Also, Aerosmith- Come Together. They still were doing recently on tours. Some Junkie Cosmonaut said:

That was presented as the proof Beatles best band ever, but I don't think you can look at that in a vacuum. Backstreet Boys sold more albums than Bob Dylan. Does that mean they're better?
And to be clear I never said Beatles sucked. I like some of their stuff. One specific example is Hey Jude. That's one of my favorite songs of all time. Never get sick of hearing it. If it's on radio when I get to my destination I'll hang out in my car for a minute or two until it finishes. Here Comes The Sun is another specific example.

Little known fact, Prince wrote most of their songs.
