Has any Texan sold more albums than he has?

And the ironic part is he was mostly broke all his life because Jim steinman actually got all the royalties for the music.

George Strait or Willie Nelson?
Beyonce is likely no 1.
Nope, if this is correct it is George.

only one of The Eagles was born in California (Timothy B Schmidt). And for that matter Aerosmith has nothing to do with New Hampshire. Map is BS

Without getting into the vaccine debate, I wish he would have just gotten the shot. He'd likely still be here.

When I was a few years out of UF, one of my Gainesville friends and I went to London. We were at the hard rock and paradise by the dashboard light came on. That has always been one of my lasting memories of that trip and my friend, who sadly died from cancer about 7 years ago. And now the man who sang it is gone too. When I thought about it in those terms, it literally brought a tear to my eye. The last few months it has really started to feel like my generation (X) is on deck for these kinds of regular passings and having to face our own mortality.
/downer.

RIP Meat.

I googled

She has sold between her solo career and Destiny's Child over 170 million albums.

Her solo career alone has sold more than George Strait.

That map only looks at US album sales through 2017. Beyonce had only sold 15 million units in US at that time. That over 100 million number is for world wide sales.

There are some interesting artists on that map, indeed!

From the linked article that I took the map from,
Quote:

It's important to note, this map covers people who were born in the state. Even if they moved. Or if it's a band, the band was "born" in the state. That's why Aerosmith hails from Vermont, though Steven Tyler hails from New York City. And while many associate Elvis Presley with Tennessee, he was born in Mississippi. Likewise, it turns out that Eminem's not from Michigan.

Aerosmith was formed in Boston.....as in they are called "the Bad Boys from Boston". And the map clearly shows them in New Hampshire, not Vermont. Again the map is BS.

15 million total in the US in 2017?

No. Not remotely accurate

And there was nothing in the original question about it being US sales.

neither of those two.

meatloaf had over 100MM albums worldwide.

both of those are significantly under 100MM

George Strait has over 100 million according to his wiki and other sources.

Beyonce has more than either one of them

I looked it up and Perry and Hamilton were playing a show in New Hampshire in which Tyler attended, and that's how they met. It's a stretch to say Aerosmith was born there.
