All of the books are quick reads and don't really build on each other. Sometimes a book will go back in time and tell a story from when he was in the army. My biggest complaint is due to the nature of who Reacher is, there really isn't much character development from book to book. Also, they could easily pick just about any of the books to base season 2 on, so there really isn't any guarantee that book 2 of the series will correspond to season 2.Buzzy said:
As someone who has read the books, does reading them add to the series? Thinking of buying the second book in the series to get a start on season 2 (assuming season 2 is based on the second book, no guarantee there).
