The evolution of Colin Hanks's character was great as well. Very annoying for most of the series and then redeemed in the final episodes

Absolutely loved Goode's cadence as Evans…I wouldn't mind seeing a series just on his life.

He was fantastic.
Anybody else catch themselves repeating what Evans said , in his voice?

Great finale and a great show! As always, critics are idiots.

Would watch the spin-off.

There was so much to like in this show, especially if you have any level of love for The Godfather (there are somehow people who have never seen it)

At times, it felt like a throwback version of Entourage...in all the good ways.

I thought so many people gave great performances in this show. Someone made a great point, it was campy/over the top at all the spots. Its a show about the making of one of the greatest movies of all time, it is by definition over the top.

The kid playing Al Pacino I'm interested in seeing in more things.

He was fantastic.
I also enjoyed the performance of Bluhdorn, who looked familiar and looked him up and he was on Game Of Thrones. He played Tanner, who plots the coup to overthrow Jeor Mormont and memorably drank from his skull. He's just slightly nicer in this role.
He also played Major Hewlett in Turn, the british guy that was in charge of the town they were all from.

it definitely was written with an air of Ruddy sniffing his own farts, but thats easy for me to overlook.

Finally binged this over the past week and absolutely loved it. Really great performances by the cast and such an unbelievable story to get the best movie ever made. Fantastic show and definitely left me wanting more.

Finally was able to finish this…. Just incredible. Miles Teller is becoming one of my new favorites. Really good.

I agree this was told with a bit of a praise and worship of Ruddy.

Ribisi was also fantastic. He is so good at everything he does. Wish he would get some bigger parts in movies.

Made me really appreciate The Godfather even more. Always been one of my favorites, but this probably elevated it even more.

And the guy that played Brando was absolutely incredible. As was the guy that played Pacino.

Agreed. I would love to see the Bob Evans story with Matthew Goode reviving the role. There were a lot of good performances, but Goode stole every scene as Bob Evans.

I really enjoyed the series, and am disappointed that it was only a one season show.

We just finished this. OUTSTANDING...truly loved it.

I thought "Bob Evans" stole the show....his character was so good.

This is one of the shows that keeps my attention the whole time. AND...a big AND... there aren't any boring characters. They're all great! Many shows have a storyline or character that just doesn't do it for me, and I find myself looking at my phone. I don't like Giovani Ribisi but he worked for me. Colin Hanks is so good at unlikeable roles. Miles was great! I didn't realize he's the kid from Whiplash, excellent movie btw. Burn Gorman was excellent but I have to agree that Matthew Goode CRUSHED Evans role! The whole show he was so fun to watch.

I thought the killed it. I would love a 2nd season but I don't see how it would be possible.

Watched this over the last few weeks and was highly entertained. That was great.

Bob Evans had an incredible life. It made me seek out his biography from 20 years ago. Really enjoying it.

Side note, but how and when did Miles Teller become a bankable dramatic actor? Mall of a sudden he has a lead role in Maverick, now this.

Finally got around to watching this. I have The Godfather at #3 on my favorite movies of all time list, so have been wanting to for a while but just hadn't been subscribed to Paramount and honestly just kept forgetting about it.

I enjoyed the hell outta this mini series. Binged it in two days and never once got bored or had my attention distracted.

Miles Teller was fantastic in that role, as well as just about everyone else. I was especially impressed with Dan Fogler as Coppola. He was able to make me forget his role in Fanboys and really buy him as Coppola.

Not much more I can say other than that was just a lot of fun.

Don't forget Matthew Goode as Bob Evans, who I think did an incredible job and just oozed charisma. I think his performance raised the mini series from good to great.

Just finished the 4th episode and my wife and I are thoroughly enjoying it. I am one of those people who have never seen The Godfather but I might have to finally watch it. I have relied on this as a major part of my personality so it will be a big step for me.

Whoa.

Dude, pause the show and watch the movie first.

Then again, I'm kinda intrigued at the how you may absorb the movie if it comes after watching The Offer.

Just binged the whole thing in 2 days. WOW!!!!!

I'm one of those Godfather is the best movie ever made people and I'm not sure why it took me so long to watch this. Maybe a little bit of not wanting to be let down by it.

Forget that. This was incredible. Casting was superb. Even the actors playing actors just nailed them (Pacino and Brando in particular). And I love period pieces and this was itself a period piece about a period pice and it nailed ALL of that.

If they got one thing not right it might have ruined the whole thing. I don't mean story wise because they definitely took some liberties with the timeline especially of the mob guys (when Columbo got shot, when Gallo died, etc.). And a little of the personalities might have been exaggerated for effect. But other than that is was nails.

Just phenomenal.

Give me a 2nd season about Part II - but it would not be quite them same without Ruddy (Miles Teller).
