Good question.
Speaking of Dollar Store Gus Fring and at the risk of asking a dumb question...he was there to serve as a body double of sorts for Gus, right? Or was he merely there for comic relief?Complete Idiot said:That guy was over there looking like Theo from Die Hardlarry culpepper said:
the one bit of comic relief from this episode was when Kim pointed at Dollar Store Gus Fring thinking he was who she was supposed to kill

They also cant move too quickly or its potentially suspicious.
If Jimmy gets the assisted living lawsuit money then it won't be suspicious

Google says Chilean Spanish is different. Could be that but you are right. It didn't sound natural.
Eladio's and Hector's Spanish was a little weird to me too.
Nacho's Spanish was a little off too but I took that as a US born child who doesn't speak Spanish regularly.
Lalo, Juan Bolsa, and Nacho's father's Spanish was natural.

So now I'm wondering if we see the connection between BCS and BB happen sooner rather than later. At this point, Saul still believes that Nacho and Lalo are alive, but how long can it last before he figures something out. We know he thinks they're still alive at the time of his appearance in the BB timeline.
Saul can still be concerned about the Salamancas coming after him despite him knowing both Nacho and Lalo being dead.
But he doesn't know that for sure. He knows nothing about Nacho and all Mike told him was that Lalo would not be coming back. Sure he insinuated that Lalo was dead but he already did that once and Lalo came back so it's easy to see why Saul in BB could think Lalo is still alive and gunning for him.
Quote:
In Breaking Bad 208, Saul says to a masked Walt and Jesse, "Lalo didn't send you? No Lalo?" That can be interpreted as him thinking Lalo is still alive, but are you of the mind that the trauma of Lalo's first mistaken death stayed with him?
Yeah, that's what I think. He thinks that Lalo is either still out there or if he's not still out there, there's a term known as mortmain. It means the "dead hand," so the dead hand of Lalo could still be acting there. Either Lalo sent a hit and it took that long to get to him, or he sent instructions to avenge him that took a while to track down. In some way, it still could have circuitously landed on Jimmy, but he's going to be freaked out about the specter of Lalo until the specter of Walt White becomes a better thing to fear.
I was surprised to learn Margolis isn't Hispanic. He definitely looks it.Brian Earl Spilner said:Stat Monitor Repairman said:

Native Spanish speaker here. He is a fully native speaker with little to no accent.
Esposito has an absolutely horrible accent, and not a Chilean one. As in he does not speak a lick of Spanish in real life. It always bugs me a bit and takes me out of of it just a little bit, but you gotta just roll with it.
Mark Margolis (Hector) also has a pretty bad accent but he is much better at faking it.
Don Eladio is fluent, but he's got a slight Cuban accent.
He'll always be Ace Ventura's landlord to me.larry culpepper said:I was surprised to learn Margolis isn't Hispanic. He definitely looks it.Brian Earl Spilner said:Stat Monitor Repairman said:

I approve this message, bc we're supposed to leave for deployment until next year sometime, the week of August 10th. So I'm going to miss the series finale. I thought about just not watching this half of the season, but my self control will not allow it.
Mr. Shickadance...definitely the most memorable role for me prior to Don Hector.Prosperdick said:Whos Juan said:He'll always be Ace Ventura's landlord to me.larry culpepper said:I was surprised to learn Margolis isn't Hispanic. Also thought Gus's F.U. speech was great with all the insults. Need to watch it again just for the fire and bile.
Kim's future can be anywhere on the map now that Lalo doesn't take her for his Mexican cartel bride.
