I hate anime (outside of Animatrix), but this might actually get me to watch an anime.

I don't know about this idea. I've always heard that too much Helm Hammerhand will make you go blind.
Then may I present to you Attack on Titan. It's as opposite the bold as any anime ever created. It's also currently in the second half of its final season so you can binge it. On Hulu. Only reason I have Hulu.DallasTeleAg said:
One of my biggest problems has been with JRPGs and a couple anime I have seen. They have absolutely zero nuance in their storytelling. It almost seems like they have to point everything out instead of letting the audience interpret subtext.
Again, haven't taken any deep dives in anime because I just don't appreciate what I have been exposed to, but that has been my experience.

I didn't realize that New Line Cinema basically has to crank out Tolkien fan fiction in order to retain the movie rights to LoTR and Hobbit. So I guess mostly similar fan fiction is preferable to the potential Amazon abortion level garbage going on with the Rings streaming series.
I think I made it about half an hour before I turned it off. It was just boring. I don't know what the budget was but at least they're not spending a billion to make the Rings of Power. The result was the same, just bad LOTR material that isn't worth watching.YouBet said:
Didn't recall this thread. Anyway, I started this tonight and abandoned it about 15 min into it.
The animation was horrific and I couldn't get past how bad it was. It was as if they purposely sabotaged the quality of it, or had no budget.
