Some really good ones listed already. I'm surprised though that Braveheart isn't listed for anyone. I dunno if it's my favorite but I've certainly watched it a bunch of time.

I can't believe I just had to scroll to page 4 to be the first to mention Jurassic Park. I'm so disappointed right now

Dammit. You're right. On page 1 with 10 stars. No clue how I missed it.

I think my most repeatedly watchable movie might be Royal Tannenbaums.

outside of the Star Wars universe, the only acceptable answer is Big Trouble in Little China.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Incredible music score, cinematography, and acting on a relatively small budget. Saw it when I was seventeen, and have yet to see a movie I liked more. The other two in the trilogy (A Fistful of Dollars, and A Few Dollars More) were close behind.

Agree. 100%

Sergeant York. I love stories of redemption.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is an extremely close 2nd place, but I think that's just for sentimental reasons because it's the only movie I went to go see with my dad. We saw it in a really old theater in La Grange that still had wooden seats back in the early 80s.

No Mel Brooks movies? How is Young Frankenstein not listed already? It's the best comedy movie ever made. Almost every single line is quotable.

Two that haven't been mentioned:

-Jim Thorpe - All American
-12 Monkeys

But my 2 favorite: Shawshank and It's a Wonderful Life. I could watch those any day of the year.
Let's go, Brandon!

I'm with you there too! Urban Cowboy…so much quotable cheesiness, bad acting, and a great soundtrack.

The most recent Oceans 11, the older Great Gatsby, The Dark Knight

Although for me, The Batman ranks up there right now. I need to see how it ages with me first.

The fun part of the thread is to see what people put as their "favorite movie". We already had a thread a month or so ago for your top 10 movies.

Gone with the Wind is the greatest movie ever made. The original girl power flick, and 83 years later still a masterpiece.

Blazing Saddles is the best Mel Brooks movie, and maybe best comedy. Airplane! and The Hangover are in the discussion.

The best Star Wars movie is ESB, but R1 is right there. ANH is third.

It's seriously a perfect movie. I don't think I can have a top movie because I love different movies for different reasons, but Hot Fuzz is in my top 3. I quote that movie endlessly.
