I love it when a great movie ends with the perfect song. A song that matches the vibe and leaves you on a high note (pun inferred).

What is your favorite movie ending song?

Mine is "Land of a 1000 Dances" by Wilson Pickett at the end of The Great Outdoors!

So many great suggestions so far.

Basically, IMO, Fincher and Cameron Crowe are the undisputed kings of the end-credit song (Fincher was responsible Fight Club as well), as these are a few more of my all-time favorites…






(Apologies for the sh*tty quality in a couple of those, but they were the best versions I could find.)

The Zodiac one, in particular, sent chills down my spine the first time I heard it in the theater. Hurdy Gurdy Man not only ends the movie, it's playing on the radio in the opening scene as well, as the Zodiac unloads on that same character, years earlier. Incredible stuff.

I don't particularly like hip-hop or the group De La Soul, so that makes it even more interesting that the first song to come to my mind was Magic Number by De La Soul at the end of Spider-Man No Way Home.

Good call on Almost Famous. Love that tune, and Zeppelin rarely lets people use their songs.

They're also responsible for one of the best needle drops of all time in Thor: Ragnarok.

The song from Edge of Tomorrow....Love Me Again.

and since I am almost to this episode on the re-re-rewatch of Breaking Bad (I know it is tv) the ending credits contain the song My Baby Blue by Badfinger.
....Rememberin' the fallin' down and the laughter and the curse of luck from all those sonsabitches that said we'd never get back up!! (REK)
