The Warriors ending featuring "In the City" by The Eagle (This is basically a Joe Walsh Song)

Actually it WAS Joe Walsh. He wrote it and recorded it for that movie. He really-recorded with The Eagles later.

I feel like we've done this thread recently.

My answer on that thread is the same as this thread:

End of American Werewolf in London. The juxtaposition of the sheer shock, horror, and sadness of the ending scene with the absolutely spot on and chuckle inducing cheekiness of Blue Moon is brilliant.

I love Loudon Wainwright's song Daughter, perfectly applied here. Got me in the feels.

Because it's a great song, but also because its tone is the exact opposite of the movie and frames the theme in a unique way, which is pretty amazing to do In the closing credits.

Wow came here to post exactly this and was surprised to see it mentioned. Huge fan of both moby and Heat and it's just perfect.

Great song with a fitting title for this thread. For Romeo + Juliet.

My first thought; totally iconic, used across the series. But I'll admit I was already a Moby fan before.

I understand how this may have slipped your mind as it's been almost 30 years, so i'm going to let that slide. But this is obviously the greatest ending music transition to end credits in cinematic history.

Pretty much any ending to a movie about a band? The Doors, Bohemian Rhapsody, etc.
Even the Runaways - final scene with "I Love Rock N Roll" makes the radio and JJ's cover of Crimson & Clover during the credits:

Most disappointing? I was a fan of "Vision Quest" which came out during the few semesters I was boxing at A&M. How do you end a movie featuring Lunatic Fringe with a bubble gum pop Journey song?

I often watch Happy Gilmore this time of year leading up to The Masters. Tuesday's Gone is a fantastic song as is but I feel like its connection to Happy Gilmore makes it even better.

The music supervisor on that movie did an awesome job all the way around. I love that they went with Starman as opposed to Space Oddity.

The entire soundtrack is a case study on how to expertly use music in a movie.
