An added thought in seriousness. A quick study of history's greatest artists from the dawn of civilization to now seems to show that A LOT of very creative and talented people are also not what would be considered conventional, wholesome, upstanding human beings. I'd say more often than not the most creative, quality material comes from pretty tortured, conflicted souls. It's part of why I admire the creation itself and don't often lionize the artist, because seldomly have they earned that. Rather than being surprised that my favorite artists turn out to be some form of wacky, I'm surprised if any of them in reality are decent people at heart. I think there's a reason your favorite songwriter of all time is probably a ******* and the guy playing open mic night at the neighborhood bar and being ignored by everyone there while they eat is a good dude with a wife and kids.
There is a question of the chicken or the egg here, though. Is the songwriter a ******* and that has something to do with why they make great music, or did the songwriter make great music and the money and fame that they received from that turned them into a *******.
If you follow a lot of these celebrities from the time they first become famous to where they are in their later years, it's pretty obvious that celebrity and money (and a lot of time drug use) changed who they were and made them crazy.
Honestly, I wouldn't wish vast fortune and celebrity on any of my children, especially before the age of 40.
