Smart idea going the podcast route. Probably not that terribly cost extensive from an investment in getting the potential show off the ground

Oh great another attempt from a Left Coast media exec to profit off using an isolated incident by a lone wolf to cast the entire nobel profession in a bad light.
I am hoping this will be as big of a pile as anything done by David Simon.
It is kind of crazy how podcasting has taken off. I got into it about 8 years ago myself and there is some really great material out there both in fiction and non-fiction. It is kind of the new comic-book medium.TCTTS said:Saxsoon said:

Yeah, its definitely done the job we needed it to do. Made it as high as the number 12 podcast in the country at one point. Got some really cool things cooking on the TV front, in the wake of that. Should hopefully have some news to announce later this year.

Oh, nice, that's awesome.
I appreciate your thoughts as well.
And yeah, it's looking more and more like Version of Events will be the title, but we'll see.
In other news, it sounds like we just landed a director, and a certain actor/pop star from Tennessee is currently reading for the role of Marty. So things are progressing nicely, but who knows where it all lands.

Ha, yeah. I saw his wife on Kimmel the other night, promoting her show Candy on Hulu, and Kimmel asked if her and her husband ever wanted to star in a project together. She said absolutely, but they want to play "adversaries." That's when it hit me that JT is from Tennessee, where the story takes place, and that they're each roughly the age of the two main characters in the story, who just so happen to be facing off against each other. I told this to the head of the company we've partnered with, she loved the idea, happens to be from Tennessee herself (one of the reasons she loves the project so much), knows JT well, and sent it to him the next day. He's super busy, though, so who knows when he'll get around to reading the pilot/listening to all episodes of the podcast. In the meantime, we're locking down a director, and then hopefully things will speed up a bit from there.
