Alien 3 remains one of the most disappointing films I've ever seen. Not only for the character choices, but for this:

This one is more surprising.
This. Is it thought provoking and brilliant? no. Is it fun? Yep.bobinator said:
The thing about Prometheus and Covenant is that they're almost really good movies. They have some awe-inspiring scenery, some great acting, they're shot well, etc. Everything you want in a movie.
They just don't quite get there. The characters make some absolutely baffling decisions there's a few characters that are just annoying when they're on screen, and there's some odd scenes that just feel off, etc.
That's opposed to say, Alien Vs Predator, which at no point tries to be a truly good movie and is all the better for it. Call is the "Fast & The Furious" effect if you want, but there's something about a movie that's in on the bit and isn't trying too hard. (Note: AVP: Requiem somehow messed this formula up.)
But as a result, the overall experience of watching Alien vs Predator, for me, was better than the experience of watching Prometheus and Covenant. The latter are objectively better movies, but they're so close to being really good that they're annoying.
Yes. They did not know there was a critter on board the ship, and they were blasting music so did not hear calls from the other crew.DannyDuberstein said:
Is Covenant the one where the couple is screwing in the shower after most of their friends have been killed (which they know)?
If so, that thing went full Friday the 13th, but even more dumbass. At least the teens screwing didn't know their friends were dead yet

Nothing makes me hornier than knowing 75% of my friends have just been killed [/Covenant couple]
