+5 points if you make a fake idol and someone plays it thinking its' real.

Episode 2 tonight seems to be a good cast of characters thus far

I haven't watch Survivor in years. I recall around the time I was winding down the game was really evolving and skme players were taking it to the next level with strategy. Has the game play Co tinued to get better as we now are a generation jnto the show and presumably a lot of the people in the show are superfans?

Man. I don't know. I didn't even finish 42.

For those in the Houston area.... Tonight I'll be attending a Survivor 43 watch party at McIntyres downtown location. Taking place from 5:00 until midnight. Hosted by Wendell Holland and Bryce Izyah. I'll be there representing Big Brother, but lots of former Survivor contestants there including Ozzie Lusth, Danny McCray, Karishma Patel, Carl Boudreaux, Davie Rickenbacker, etc.

Theoretically this is a ticket required event, but I also think that you shouldn't have any problem getting in without. (But if anyone asks, you didn't here that from me!)

Finally caught up on the first 2 episodes. Maybe it's the way they edited it, but the producers seem to have picked a lot of genuine people for this season as opposed to "let's find a few train wrecks and turn them loose." Lots of compelling stories out there.

Thought James was about to become Idiot Supreme last night but he read the room and didn't use his advantage.

Not sure I knew who Dwight was before he got voted out.

Rough couple tribals for Jeanine but she'll be alright. Public idols are a massive risk.

I skipped the last two seasons so all the advantages and idols is a little bit of a shock to the system. I have to say that I'm fine with idols and stealing idols, but I hate stealing votes or losing your vote. That's the most baseline thing in the entire game and I don't think players should be able to lose that (by someone else or of their own accord).

As for the cast, I agree that it's a pretty good one this time around. I think anyone besides Gabler or Ryan could win at this point (and maybe Gabler could?).

yeah that really was pretty fantastic. Watching her melt down but continue to push, then ultimately winning in just a couple of throws was awesome.

You must have missed the part of her doing yoga on the beach.

It's been on for so long but Jesse's move has to be a top 10, maybe even top 5 all-time blind side, using someone else's idol to eliminate them while also flushing a second idol, and you still have another idol in your back pocket that no one knows about.

Hopefully they won't put the 2 played idols back into the game this late, as that would potentially have 3 people out of 5 all with idols and really dilute the last couple of challenges. Jesse should still really bust his ass in the next immunity challenge because if he has the idol and the necklace, he has total control over who goes out. You'd think he' try to get Cassidy out at 5 because Karla has burned too many bridges and won't get as many votes. Owen and Gabler, who I've enjoyed immensely, both seem like they don't have much of a chance to win.

Amazing cut throat move by Jesse, but he's going straight to the fire making at 4, right? I think he's the only one who hasn't won immunity. Was it too big of a move?

If you could put someone at six with two idols in their pocket, and told them they'll have to make fire at four to make the final three, they'd take that every single time. If he makes fire, he wins.

Very true. I think he wins if he makes the final 3. I'd put it Jesse, Cassidy, then Karla. I can't see Gabler or Owen winning.

Eff. Think they need to start doing fire at 5? Seems like the way to win now is to outlast the actual threats.

I've got no idea who's going to win this.
