I've long been one who has no idea what the moderation guidelines are on TA but this is one of the most bizarre examples of posts getting deleted that I've ever seen.

I think yours, mine and (maybe) sea speed's posts were deleted? I just thought we were having a fun back and forth about the evolution of the band. There was nothing combative to me. Bizarre.

Even if it was "combative" it didn't feel over the top to me or that any lines were crossed. I'm struggling to remember anything close to that level.

52 is a tough age to be spazzing out violently on stage for over an hour a night. Just gotta come down wrong on your foot once and you can be out for a few weeks with bad sprain or worse. Achilles sounds awful though.

Listen to Tom Morello for 2 minutes on Sirius XM and you'll figure out he's a massive racist who keeps trying to play the race card. Probably because he's what Jason Whitlock refers to as a Halfrican.

Killer Mike on the other hand, that dude is racial but at least he takes action. Morello just whines.

Full Disclosure - I've seen RTJ, bought merch and my Twitter claim to fame, I once traded Tweets with Killer Mike, so I'm a little biased towards RTJ.

He severely damaged his tendons, and when I saw him (pre-injury) I couldn't believe how violently active he was on stage. I hope I can be jumping and thrashing around that hard when I'm his age.

Cancelling 3 months after an achilles tear with multiple months to go in the tour seems strange.

I had a complete tear of my left Achilles a few years back. Should have been a 3 month recovery but ended up being five due to my clumsiness.

If Zach didn't re-injure it then he should be fine to perform. Maybe not full energy jumping off speakers and that but should be able to move around the stage and hop around. Even be in a small air boot to keep things in place during shows.

Details of my experience.
I was put in a cast for a month, no walking, then into an air cast and no walking. Day 3 of air cast I lost my balance on my scooter and put my foot down hard and re-popped my Achilles. Next was surgery. Then two more months without walking or weight on that leg. So after 3 months I could start doing physio and walking in the air cast. They would shorten the wedge in my boot once a week to slowly stretch the tendon back out. At end of month 4 I was back to walking in regular shoes and doing physio twice a week. By end of month 5 I was walking multiple miles, riding bike, went skiing, etc. I could have been doing that all by end of month 3 if I hadn't re-popped it and needed surgery.


Love me some old RATM. Saw them at Sunken Garden in SA in the late 90s. The only thing I think of now when I listen is the irony that their anti-establishment message is pointed back at themselves these days.
