Just saw your post - pretty sure you're right. I don't mind at all and I'm excited for it, but just wanted to make the spoiler conscious aware

Also, due to the lack of overall hype, I figured we could use this as the spoiler thread as well next week. Figured this was a "wait and see how it is before I go see it" movie for most.

Have my ticket for next Thursday, and have pretty much known the spoiler for a while given that movie pundits have been talking about this "rumor" for what seems like months now, so it's whatever. I'm just glad what it means for the future of DC.

It seems there's a decided lack of hype for this movie considering The Rock is supposedly the biggest movie star in the world, but I think it'll do fine if the reviews end up being good.

I'm not the biggest The Rock fan in the world, but I'm looking forward to this. He also has my newfound respect for the fact that he's reportedly been battling with WB for a while to get Cavill back in the mix and his own proper Superman sequel.

I looked at seats for next Thursday at the Chinese Theater IMAX and they've barely sold any a week out. Not a good sign. That, and reviews are all over the place. I've seen some saying it's awesome and action packed and I've seen others saying it's way too familiar and compressed, and a bunch of CGI gobbledygook in the third act. So who knows. When I see the trailers/commercials, it looks well done and entertaining, but I also can't remember the last time I enjoyed a movie The Rock was in.

Legit don't understand what critics could've expected from this movie to get negative reviews.

I really enjoyed it, and it did nothing "wrong". The only complaint I could see is that's it's predictable and safe. But it's the exact movie anyone could expect this to be.

Had fun with it. Had a bit of Suicide Squad vibes.

And that end credits. Huge cheers in my theater.

88% audience score. Makes me feel like I'm not crazy.

Only diehard Rock fans would see this day one so the audience score being high isn't surprising.

Those Kirk Cameron movies get the same scores.

Need to wait a bit to see if the scores stay up

I am not a Rock fan.

So I'm not really a comics guy, maybe someone can clarify.

So Shazam and Black Adam's powers both come from the same wizards right? So how can they both exist at the same time?

Also I'd like to know where Black Adam learned English.

THE* Suicide Squad

Really enjoyed the first two acts, but overall the movie went as well as expected for a DC/The Rock movie.

Aldis Hodge is so cool as Hawkman, Brosnan was great, and really loved Swindell as Cyclone. Her character was awesome and wish I could have seen more.

Music in the movie was a little weird at times, and the stuff at the end with the kid was super corny.

Second best CBM I've seen this year. Entertaining movie for sure.

Cavill is the perfect Superman, and the updated John Williams score was great.

Shazam has the power of Greek gods, Black Adam has the power of Egyptian gods. Pretty much the same counterparts.

Up to 90% audience score

I also don't want to spoil too much, but it seems like they're setting up one of Black Adam's famous storylines from the 52 series (not New 52).

How full (or not full) have everyone's showings been?

I go to a smaller theater, I think about 50 seats, and there were about 12 of us for a 9pm non XD (Cinemark) showing. Zero hype for this movie. The XD theater was probably 2/3 full for the 7:45 showing.
