I don't know, I think he is just falling subject to a force more powerful than pretty much anything.

Some pretty good points here. Major plot defects….maybe they just forgot about the blackmail murder pics plot line.

Yes but sometimes just not worth it depending on how far their grazing pasture is from the pens. I know a big west Texas rancher that does it all in the pasture. He said he basically makes a coral with men on horseback to hold the cattle in. Mainly because he said getting them to the pens isn't worth the trouble when you're 15+ miles to a set of pens. I'd like to see it one day. It's be a cool thing to see.

I am surprised that Dodge hasn't capitalized on the show with a Yellowstone trim package truck. I think the Laramie package is their top of the line. Something to compete in name with Ford's King Ranch.

Speaking of their outfits, what is the weather there? The cowboys ride out in heavy jackets and the girls wake up in tank tops
You'd rather see the girls in jackets & the cowboys in tank tops?JCRiley09 said:

I'm too lazy to go back and look, but I'm pretty sure the conservation easement was known to the airport/land developer folks way back when the foul mouth hag with shake voice was still in town. Now they act like it's a new bombshell.
And I love the idea that the 6666 is selling out of their own beef every year, but just happen to have land to graze 5,000 head that they aren't using.

Yes! Said this same thing to my husband. " Why are they all acting surprised?? They all already knew. And didn't Jamie DEFINITELY already know??"
To me that seemed preplanned between Jamie and the girl. When the other lawyer left she commented on his acting skills. I assumed they were planning to pin the "billions in loses" on John Dutton to impeach, they are trying to get Jamie clear of the conservatorship.Rascal said:AJ02 said:sam callahan said:

Yeah I thought this too but wasn't sure because seems like a gigantic gaffe.

I'm just here to say I really, REALLY hate Beth. She's a rampant PMSing ***** 24/7 and nobody will smack her down and shut her up. I also hate that weird Indian ***** with the mouth that looks like a small black dog turd.
I'm beginning to wonder about Taylor Sheridan and why he keeps writing in annoying female characters in his shows (cough/1883/cough). I guess we'll see Sunday if he's going to put one in 1923 as well.

I think because most of the country probably thinks this is how "cowboy culture" actually is. He is playing to the masses and not folks like us that know or actually have experience in this realm.
Every character is ridiculously overwritten and overblown, murders don't get investigated, no one goes to prison, people beat each other to near death over family dinners, etc.

This show has been a modern day Dallas since the beginning.
I don't remember people in the oil business whining this much about "realism" back in the 80's. But maybe that is because it was before internet message boards.
Don't forget Dynasty! Yellowstone is really formulaic like those shows that were absolutely loved by the masses.Charpie said:Wes97 said:

I was a kid. I remember my parents planning around Dallas and Falcon Crest. They didn't care. They just enjoyed it. God forbid we do that here.
